Re: 14lb-20lb Rod & Line but fishing for smaller fish go
That heavy a rod with that # test line is considered a Crankbait set up. With 14# Fluoro Its a good setup for Crankbaits, Lipless Crankbaits, Spoons, Spinner and Buzzbaits. If its 14# Mono it would work pretty well with Jerkbaits and top water baits like Poppers and Zara Spooks. If its 30+ # Braid i...

Re: anything beat a curado for weight, durability in saltwat
I just got the Curado 200DHSV and LOVE IT! ! !
The weight doesn't bother me at all. I use it mainly on Strip Bass and Blues in Salt, but I also use it in Fresh. I even Flip stuff as light as Senkos with it. I know its a little bulky for the Senko but God Damn its so smooth and easy.

Shimano Curado
I was hopping to get a 2 for one Baitcaster. Light enough for Fresh, strong enough for Salt. Shimano sell the Curado as a crossover reel and I was wondering if anyone here has used the Curado on Saltwater. If so, how does it hold up? If not, any suggestions? FWI I live in NYC so its pretty much smal...
