Re: What reviews are you looking forward too?

"Tool shootout" Thats an excellent idea. I especially like the part about the scales. That would be great.

Re: KVD not in 2015 classis?

You don't think that he can get burned out? I think he would welcome not having people in his face asking all of the same repetitive questions that fans and the press ask. Kevin has been at it a long time. I am sure that he is not happy about it, but I think he might enjoy the break. He has nothing ...

Re: cleaning rods

Take a wash rag and soak it with really hot water. Ring out the excess water and wrap the rag loosely around the handle. Rotate the handle back and forth by holding the butt cap. It will really clean the handle up. I do the same for the rod and the guides. I just wipe them down with a hot wet rag an...

Re: Which reel for pitching

Shimano CORE MGFV. I pitch and flip everything with this reel. It is light, palms well, and is easy to service. I have won a fair amount of money with this reel.

Re: Six To Ten

I would not leave them in the boat. I keep my rods vertical in a rod rack in the house. I just wipe my rods down and keep them clean.

Re: What reviews are you looking forward too?

To me, a combat rod is one that is used to flip or pitch jigs and plastics into grass mats, laydowns, brush piles, log jams, and around/under docks. Something to use for up close "get the fish out of the stuff NOW" fishing. Like this example of the Jackall Hard Puncher 80 (which is no longer made). ...

Re: What reviews are you looking forward too?

I would love to see a combat rod shootout. I would really love to see a review on the Poison Glorious Rushburn and/or Beastmaster. I would also like to see a review on the 7'2 and/or 7'6 Adrena. I would like to see combat rods from Gancraft, Major Craft and/or Deps thrown in there also. I am just bu...

Re: KVD not in 2015 classis?

Kevin is probably relieved. He has absolutely nothing to prove and has made his money. He has been tournament fishing for a long time. He is probably looking forward to the break. However, even though he is financially set, I believe that he is addicted to chasing green fish like the rest of us. I d...

Re: Crankbait question

I fish deep running crankbaits alot. For me it is target fishing. I am looking for a stump or small group of stumps on a point, a lone rock pile, hump, or ledge. I like to have a crankbait that is as close to the depth I am trying to reach. What I mean is if the stump is in 15 ft of water I wont be ...

Re: Flipping Fluorocarbon

I was using AbrazX before it even came to market. The company reps even said that it has less memory than InvisX. I used AbrazX and InvisX for about 4 yrs. To me the 15 lb was good line. I made some pretty good money using it. However the 20 lb has a fair amount of memory and fluff problems to it. I...
