Plastics weight?

Does anybody know a reference or list giving weights for any soft plastic baits?

I'd be most interested to see how different manufacturer's tube baits compare.

Re: Puddingstone / Tresspassing????

They often close the river bottoms around here when we get floods. Yes, I could say I am smart enough not to drown, but they are only covering their ends. There are more stupid people than you'd think, and though I hate to think I'm restricted one way or another because of someone else's bad judgmen...

How many blade combinations do you carry?

How many different blade combinations do you typically carry? I still use for the most part colorado/willow or double willow. When I look at manufacturers websites and see the many other combinations available I think "I gotta try some of those" but it is probably unrealistic for me to try to carry ...

Shallow sppols for Dawa Excelers?

Are any shallow spools available from RCS or from a JDM reel that will work with USDM Excelers? I know the Exceler used the simplest shaft and spool/support design, without the extra bearing of the Tierra or the Real Four reels so those spools will not fit, correct? I like the larger spool diameter ...

Re: Single Willow?

These are 3/8oz Strike King Premier that were modified in the same way. The blades are 4.5s which is the size they come with. Almost like the smaller colorado blade and a portion of the wire were 'edited' out. Seems like a big blade for a burner but I might try slow rollings and bottom bouncing them.

Because there are more than just largemouth out there.

Other parts of the world they might say, "Baitcasters, why?'

Re: Single Willow?

I think I am going to try them right out of the gate when our season opens (end of May!). I am of the school of mind that likes to try show fish something they don't normally see.

Single Willow?

I came into possession of some single willow bladed spinnerbaits. How are these normally fished or what are they typically used for?

Re: paypal fees

As a buyer I will NOT pay a pay pal fee. Same. If you're not smart enough to calculate the paypal fee into your price, you deserve to eat the fee or whatever you're trying to sell. Yup, Retailing 101, mark your product up enough to cover expenses and overhead. Would I dare charging my customers an ...

Re: favorite spinnerbait?

When I buy locally I choose Booyah, good price for good colors and a good hook. I dislike the size of blades that Strike King and War Eagle put on their 3/8oz models. I do use Strike King Redeye Specials in the smaller sizes (can't be beat if you want to catch a small bass on every cast). I just got...

Re: Daiwa Exceler TSH or Pflueger Supreme XT

Daiwa US customer service was "pretty sure" both new models had bearing supported line rollers. Schematics have since been posted and I don't see them. I was disappointed, both in the "improved" models and in the customer servoce.

Re: Looking to step up from Mojo ... Why Dobyns?

You might look into using St. Croix's trade-up service. Depending on how old your Mojo is and which model you want you could trade up to an Avid for $100-$120. Avids are good rods and if you are into more traditional styling you might like them better than a Dobyns. (Ducking now!)
