Re: Glx vs poison adrena
let us know how you like it. The only thing that makes me sad is that they are being discontinued. Hope Shimano trumps the adrena with another flagship worthy to replace the adrena.

Re: Glx vs poison adrena
go with the adrena! As previously mentioned, great rod for various applications. Keeps fish pinned. Very Very light, and a very comfortable trigger. Also the butt is a hard material, so you can wipe debris off easily if you fish from shore.

Re: shimano complaint maybe??
Do you mean for the expride? Didn't the adrena have top of the line components? I loved the ci4 handle and the carbon Monoque butt. No experience with the handle for the extrude but I think Shimano is doing great with their reel seat the tripper grip. Just wish they would have a hole on the grip to ...

Re: shimano complaint maybe??
The expride and adrena have been on sale at TWH for some months now. When my adrena broke, they asked if I wanted the zodias rods, I asked to wait until ICAST to see what they came out with. The rep wouldnt budge to give info on whether a new rod was coming out or not. Maybe they will settle with th...

Re: 2016 Jackall Poison Adrena question
go with the medium heavy. You will not regret it. Even when you are in open water, why not have power? The weight of the rod is so light! Like others previously mentioned the adrena has a beautiful taper. Flexes a bit more than a fast action, but it is not a med fast. The tip recovers quick as well....

Re: shimano jackall poison adrena discontinued??
I have the 6'10" Medium and MH rods. Actually my MH rod snapped clean in half on a hookset after a month of use. Shimano could not replace it since the rods are being discontinued. They also said that they cannot tell me if anything is coming out during Icast this year. However, I am hoping that the...

Re: Shimano Zodias Action?
Hi! I just got the Shimano Zodias 7'2" Heavy power. I went from a Poison Adrena 6'10" MH that broke on a hookset. The Heavy power is a true for tossing lures. I can toss large topwater walking baits, jerkbaits, etc with it as well. It has great sensitivity, you wont have trouble recognizing a subtle...

Re: Threading Line Around Low Profile Spool
if you have screw on sideplate and do not want to do that then you can try this: 1. take your reel off the rod. 2. depending on what lb test you are using, make sure your line curls a bit. If it does not, grab with pliers and wrap around the closed plier head. 3. put it in the line guide and make it...

Re: Jackall Adrena
I have the 6'10" Medium and the Medium Heavy rods. These rods are amazing! Very versatile. I have used for chatterbaits, jerkbaits, texas rigs, jigs, etc. on them. They are definitely sensitive enough to feel a bite. I use Izorline XXX co-poly 10lb and 15lb. They balance really well with my curado 2...

Shimano Conquest 401 spool removal
Hello All, I just received a Shimano Conquest 401 from JapanLureShop. I was trying to figure out how to remove the spool, but am stuck! From what I read from the 200 size, there is a latch inside the SVS brake compartment, where I can flip the latch and the spool will come out. I do not have this la...

Re: Looking for a light rod - Suggestions?
I have the recon 2 ml. It will load 1/8 well. I cast a 1/8oz setup over 30yd easily. It will handle all the smaller cranks, jerkbaits, and topwater baits well. I like the fast action of the tip. The sensitivity is a little above average for its price range.
