A lot depends on having a correctly balanced rod/reel ensemble. After that, you have to consider the baits your skipping. Some just don't skip well. You're correct about the Steez drag star fitting the TD-Z, I missed that one but a TD-Z star still won't fit a Pixy without extensive modification.
