Re: Bassmaster Classic won with Capricorn2500
The article says that his last bass caught on the Capricorn actually won the tournament for him. That's what made it exciting. Iaconelli actually gives a lot of credit to using spinning tackle for finesse techniques and following up on missed hookups. The article actually has a pic of the tackle he ...

Thanks Reno .
Iaconelli switched to his Capricorn during the final minutes to catch his final bass which brought him over the top.

Bassmaster Classic won with Capricorn2500
I heard that the recent CITGO Bassmaster Classic champion Mike Iaconelli won the tournament using a Daiwa Capricorn 2500 with finesse worms just minutes before the tournament ended. And the final moments were all televised. My friend said that he read it in Bassin' magazine or InFisherman mag. Anyon...

Thanks for the report, Addicted. So will you use Tuf Line over Powerpro from now on?

Re: the color red
According to physics theory, the visible light spectrum consists of energy wavelengths between 400-700 nm. All other wavelengths are invisible. Water acts as a selective filter and absorbs longer wavelengths faster than shorter wavelengths. This means that red will lose its color at shallower depths...

Re: Fishing pictures
Wow, a gator. Wonder what kind of fight they would bring on....rolling til your line snaps unless you're using wire. I wouldn't advise using the Boca grip on one of these things... .....not even a net. It would be fun to catch though.....hmmmmm......would i need to catch a 65lb catfish for ba...

Re: Maxima Perfexion is perfect
Yeah, my Capricorn started out smooth as silk and now, it's smoother than that. It seems to get better with time. I was so impressed I bought another one. But now I'm thinking maybe I should've bought the new Luvias instead.

Re: Fish seeing hooks
Using thinner diameter line allows for better lure action and presentation. But in terms of the fish seeing it and not biting, I'm not so sure. When fishing for musky, I use 80lb braided line with 12" wire leaders. But when the musky bite is off and I'm feeling very lazy to detach the wire leader, I...

Re: Maxima Perfexion is perfect
Yeah, Maxima Perfexion is great stuff. I've got 10lb Perfexion on my Capricorn spare spool and sometimes I'll use a 6lb or 4lb leader with the stuff for river fishing. Minimal memory, great castability, and its small diameter makes it a great line for a variety of fishing. Nate, how do u find the Ca...

welcome to the board, shimanorules. If Shimano can't help you, you might want to check with bitesize about aftermarket bearings.

Re: Carp bait
The salmon runs aren't as heavy as they used to be, these days. So if the steelhead and browns don't come in soon, I might end up going for carp again. They do give a helluva fight though.
