You both sound like a bickering couple.
I suspect the gears from first iteration will swap into the Zillion 10 for those that want slower gear ratios but the other new updates.

Re: Need advice on spool and bearings for T3-1016
Magforce 3d works well with a lot of spools. It can take a bit of adjusting, but after you find the right settings, it's amazing. It's a shame Daiwa didn't use it in more of their reels. Agreed. It was a simple and useful feature. Far better than a Zero Adjuster which no one has asked for or cared ...

Re: More new Tatula models...
Don't get me wrong, I actually like the Tatulas for the most part. I'm annoyed that they don't all have the free floating style spools for maximum compatibility, but outside of that they are fine for the price. I don't get the rereleasing of the exact same reel with different paint so many times tho...

Re: Need advice on spool and bearings for T3-1016
Honestly, the stock spool from that T3 is pretty excellent for the 3/8-1oz range. The new ZPI spools are pretty hard to find now. The Zillion SV spool is also excellent, and easier to source, but the price has gone up due to popularity I think. https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info...

This is what I was picturing... but I didn't go back nearly far enough.
My first decent baitcaster was some version of this reel. I was hooked immediately.

More new Tatula models...
In case everyone was waiting on a new Tatula CT, your prayers have been answered. Looks like a new paint job... exciting. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Tatula_CT_Casting_Reel/descpage-TTCT.html There is also now a Tatula 300 for big baits in the style of the newer Tatula 100. That is at leas...

That is a pretty fancy spool Loafer. If they make a deeper version I'll have to pick one up.

LOL at this thread.
It is the hot sunlight more than just heat that can melt them in a bag, so don't just toss the bag on the deck of your boat.

Re: 2020 Fuego CT SV
I know right. It probably costs Daiwa more to make some reels/spools free floating and some not rather than just making everything free floating and consistent. So frustrating.Fishing4Fun wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 8:16 amNo free floating spool. Looks nice but I will stick with the OG!

If it is a super light spool with a decent centrifugal brake it might be pretty good either way, like a Pixy SPR.

Re: What's the best all around baitcaster??
~$250 range: Daiwa Zillion SV TW. Doesn't really need any upgrades and the stock spool is great. There are also countless compatible spools for future tweaking. Actual best lightweight do everything: Daiwa Steez SV TW or Shimano Metanium 20 MGL Best bulletproof do everything: Daiwa Steez A TW or Shi...

Re: Fishing Misconceptions That You Wish Would Die
How about the Senko is the best bait ever. "You don't work them, they work for you". You still have to cast them accurately, but they are pretty consistently effective in just about all conditions. Like others have said, braid is super sensitive unless there is a lot of wind or waves with sm...

It appears the reel is actually dark green, instead of charcoal like it appeared in the 45 degree angle picture.

Re: Ray's long cast spool for tatula ct.
These spools are both rated up to 18g, are they too wild to control throwing bigger baits or are they both not robust enough to cope with contantly dragging bigger baits in? Also, is there much more of a advantage to the non drilled spool over the drilled offering other than salwater protection? I ...
