Re: Where to order: Rapla Tournament Class HM45

Thanks for all the help.

Yes, they are not listed in the catalog but apparently they do make them as a regular item. Unusual in this sense.

Thanks in advance for the help in tracking them down.

Thanks,

Where to order: Rapla Tournament Class HM45

Greetings, I'm told Gander Mountain has these but they don't do mail order and no stores near us. I called but they claim not to have it anyways. I'm lookin for the Rapla Tournament Class HM45 in the 10 feet and 6 inches long length. Any leads for mail ordering would be much appreciated. If discount...

Re: Anyone w. Cabelas' XML-Ti - UL, 5'6" length.

Crusty Bottom, Sorry, for some reason I did not quite register in my mind that I got a response. THANKS for the response. However, I needed info on just the 5' 6" in terms of guide sizes they use as I'm trying to duplicate that rod. How do you like the one you have in the longer size? Thanks. UL

Re: Spinner - treble vs single hooks

Interesting on the single hooks. We 'killed' the trouts today using the Vibrax spinners. My son was using it and it was out producing kastmasters, thomas buoyants and panther martins by about 4 to 1. Every day is different. But we also missed quite a few clear strikes because they just did not hook ...

Re: LINE

Sorry to hear your experience. We've used Spiderline in all our spin reels for the past year with no issues although we are switching over to even thinner Fireline. We just went pier fishing last weekend and caught almost a couple of dozen Macs and they were rubbing the line against the stuff on the...

Spinner - treble vs single hooks

Quick question. I'm sure it's basic but clueless here. Just picked some of my favorite spinners and they came with an assortment of trebles and single hooks. The single hooks are much longer than the trebles. Anyways, what are the advantages or disadvantages of each? I'm surprised to even see single...

Re: The price for tackle equals to how many fish caught???

I think equipment does make a difference. For example, I 'upgraded' to 4 lb Fireline this past week and it was a real revelation compared to the 10 lb braided we had used on all our equipment. We cast quite a bit further and on Sat, we caught 23 trout. Those caught on lures were the 'fattest/largest...

Sufix Matrix Pro

Did a search and found no posts. Anyone here used the Sufix Matrix Pro braided line? Hard to believe but in a different form, users are claiming that 10lb Matrix Pro it is truly as thin as 4 lb Fireline - or thinner. Wondering: 1. Anyone tried this in 10lb? 2. Who sells these in the USA? Thanks, UL

Re: Fireline 4 lb vs 6 lb.

I had NO idea that they made Powerpro in 5 lb test. Where can we find this in the USA? Thanks, UL ps: 4 lb Fireline breaks at around 7-8 lb straight pull. Not sure if knotted or not. ANother party reported they broke at 11 lb. So regardless, 4 lb is plenty strong for us. But curious about 5 lb Power...
