Another vote for the Magic Eraser here. I soak it and use lightly as to not pull all the filler out.
This will be my first year with U-40. I was basically told put on one moderate coat and then reapply in a year.

I'll add the same. None in mine at all. I'd try a heavy cleaning then proper lube and see if that fixes it

Dobyns DX683C V's Loomis Mossyback BRC804
I have been using the DX683C for a few weeks running lighter Swim Jigs in the 1/4oz flavor and 1/4 weighted plastics. Its listed as a MH, but my experience is the 3 power DX's fish like a medium fast. I just purchased a used Mossyback Loomis BRC804. Its been awhile but Loomis lists their 4 power as ...

Steez brass gear option?
I recently picked up a Steez 103SHA in 7.1. My LTD Steez TN is dead quite. I'd like to make this one as well. Its been cleaned lubed etc, just that noisy aluminum gear.........
Can I find and drop a set of brass gears in this to quiet it down some?
Thanks

Re: Almost a Lemon
I bought one from Japan Lure Shop about a month ago. Last week my first cast I started noticing this weird ticking noise and felt some resistance while reeling it in. Took it apart and cleaned lubed everything well. Next cast made this horrible grinding noise with something feeling out of balance. R...

LOL, i'm sure you would have. Thanks again for al the input you gave me that day on the fly. You helped me empty my wallet that night... Not even sure how the reel got there as it was never made available in North America - let alone Canada... But it was there, BNIB and half price from there Canadi...

Re: New updated Omen Black
I've been pestering the hell out of 13 fishing for info on these. I'm pretty excited about these. I love the full cork grip. I pre-ordered two from Tackle Warehouse today. A 6'7"M and a 7'1" H.
My plants to make the 7'1" a frog rod with a Team Daiwa Zillion. Praying they balance out well.
