Re: NRX rodsock

I didn't design the sleeve nor did I have any say in what we went with. Me personally? I am happy with it. I don't know how many rods at this price point or near it even come with a sleeve to start with. When you buy a bass boat it doesn't come with a cover and they cost $50-60K+ My $3000 custom .30...

Re: NRX rodsock

Tough crowd...The sleeve would be more of a 2/3 and not 1/2. It covers past the stripper guide.

Maybe we should have the rod sleeves made from Sasquatch fur delivered by midgets riding unicycles...

Re: Shimano Tescata guides.

All I can say is be patient. The info I need is with a guy that is out of the office right now. He will be back next week. The info sheet he sent me was for the wrong rod obviously. We do not perform rod repairs so we typically do not keep that info readily available as it is with our factory for bu...

Re: Shimano Tescata guides.

I am trying to find out why the list I received was wrong. The people I am working with are out of the office so it might be next week before I get the correct data. I think its a BLNAG which are a double foot guide. It could have been a misprint on the email I received.

Re: Shimano Reel Grease (Permalube)

Only apply grease to 1/2 of the main gear. Do not coat the entire gear with grease or it will feel sluggish.

Re: Shimano Chronarch B handle question

You would have to grind the shaft down. We do not offer a different length shaft for the Curado 50 or Core 50.

Re: Shimano Tescata guides.

The first Tescata rods were Fuji Alconite guides. The new Tescata uses Fuji Hardloy. The Alconite is a BFAT, sorry for the mistake earlier. Like I said I wasn't 100% sure.

Re: Shimano Reel Grease (Permalube)

We use the Shimano drag grease in the conventional and bait cast reels for the gears. The spinning reels are the only models that use Perma Lube on the gears.

Re: Shimano Tescata guides.

Yes they use the Fuji Alconite with black frames. I am not sure of the exact model. I think the BNAG but I will double check once the rod department people get here.

Re: Shimano Chronarch B handle question

I answered this for you on the 2Cool website also.

The handles will not work by just adding the plate. The drive shaft is too long. You will have to grind it down to make enough room to allow it to fit. You will also need the handle plate, handle nut and handle screws.

Re: NRX rodsock

It is there to protect the blank and guides when the rod is stored in a rod locker. It achieves this and protects every guide on the rod and more than enough of the blank when it is stored in a rod locker.

Re: NRX rodsock

Nylon is not durable enough for you? I guess it needs to be lined in velvet and embroidered with real gold thread. Or we can go retro with some corduroy. Maybe we can get Tempurpedic to make us a memory foam sock
