Re: 2021 Shimano Reels
http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/product/reel/6273 The new Conquest is what I'm most excited about. Since the last version, updated to the current SVS infinity, MGL spool, and bearing behind the pin, the things I thought made the previous Conquest needing an update. So excited to see these. Good to see ...

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Will this reel be saltwater friendly despite the lack of crbb's or is it going to be more of a freshwater only reel like the zillion 10? I'm highly tempted to get one but want to make sure I'll be ok using it in saltwater before ordering. Same question for me. Alot of new daiwa reels don't come wit...

Re: So how are SV BOOST spools?
Certainly from the photos/videos I saw it is more a u-shaped gear tooth and a v-shaped one.

DIY maintenance port???
Has anyone thought about drilling through the body of their reels to allow easy (or lazy) relubing? Like into the side plate of a baitcast reel right under the gear housing? Or through the body of a spnning reel, on the gear teeth side? Seems like a pretty easy thing to do. Drill hole, tap, and a pl...

Re: So how are SV BOOST spools?
I think it was obvious from the youtube videos/pics already how the SV Boost works, but essentially 2 springs.

I don't get where the curado k isnt true MM. Its main gear works with the met mgl pinion. So the met isnt true MM anyway?

Re: Exsence dc 17 dc sound gone
Bit painful to listen to those bearings hahaha. I like to take the spool out and let everything air dry after fishing salt. Feels like it's a bit of a usability fail with the way the DC unit is held to the frame with 3 screws, compared to the quick release ones in the past/on some current models. Pr...

Re: Exsence dc 17 dc sound gone
I'm not educated in the electrical side of things, but i guess it's just like a reverse electric motor. Instead of an electrical current used to power shaft rotation in a motor, the reel spool shaft (and the magnet) rotates within coils generating a current in the coils. I assume the current in the ...
