Re: Calyx by Shimano
I thought I wouldn't get a reply, wooow, thanks, I have had mine for some time now and its a beast. Drag is good and it is a much better reel for the money, the only negative thing ( if you can call it that, more or less inconvienent) I can say is when you adust the breaks you have to remove the ent...
Props
I have been fishing for quite some time now but I have never figured out just how to fish prop baits. So I am employing all of you with these questions. First of all when (in your experience) should you throw a prop bait vise any other topwater bait? How do you discern when and where to go from a pr...

Does anyone still use this reel? I have one but didn't really use it that much until a guy in our club was c/b fishing with it. It was his goto reel, it coninced me to take a second look at it and fished a whole month with it alone. Why do you think that this reel didn't catch onlike the curado? The...

Re: Your help needed on this one
I am about to leave for seven months to go you know where. It's depressing, so I have just been really just tackle ticklering. Seven months may not seem like a long time but I've been gone three of the last four already. Got a supporting wife though, she knows I am going to get a line wet even if it...

Re: Your help needed on this one
Thanks Guys for the reply, guess you're right. I just wanted to do something with them though. Right now I have off'd my old rods and I am about 8 crucial rods strong. They are my tournament rods and I really like them. I just hate seeing stuff in the rod holders. I get a good fishing regement down ...

Your help needed on this one
I really need help on this one. I have some rods that say med or med/hvy and then fast or extra fast. My problem is the rods that only have med on them and trying to use them for specific techniques. I have a 6'6" Med 8-17lb test 1/4-3/4 rod suggested use was topwater and rat-L-traps but to me it's ...

I listening to Kayran Sanchez on Tackle Warehouse radio. I was trying to see what she was talking about when she suggested that as a "non boater" only bringing 4 rods. If I am not mistaken you are allowed 6 as a non-boater locally here in Jax, Florida. But that really brings to mind a question of ho...

I have been reading all types of posts on this site but for the life of me I can't tell you who or where you get a "JDM" or IZO reel from. I am asking all of you guys to break things down for me. The different manufactures (who's who and who makes what?)and such and if one were interested in buying ...

Re: berkley Saber Bug
When I first seen them I thought it was a awesome looking bait, but not even TT has done a review that I know of on them. I have two packs of about four colors and that is a real downer to me. I let it sit in clear water on bedding bass and they just ignored it. I am greatly discouraged, so I had to...

knots and floro
What type of knots do you suggest when using 17lb
floro? I am a little confused as to what I heard once,
but someone said some knots are better for floro then others
I just can't remeber which? I brought my first batch of floro
today, p-line. I will see what happens tomorrow.

Re: Need Another Crucial?
If you don't mind, what applications do you use your 6'10" med for? My wife has brought me one and I haven't seen it yet. I have the Med/hvy version and I paired it with a curado D 7.1:1 and throw mainly traps with it. I don't think I am using the rod to its full potential but I have been at sea for...
