Re: prop baits
I prefer the Heddon Torpedo's and Rapala Skitter Prop's. Both work great (single blade).
I like the Smithwick Devils Horse, but to me, I seem to get my line tangled in the front blade fairly often with any double bladed prop bait during the cast.

Re: SPro Little John
Hmm, my local Field and Stream shop has plenty of the MD's in stock.
I managed to pick up a few of the shallow models with the computer chip board lip. I love these things.

If only Shimano would offer the I series in a 5:1 for us lefties
The Chronarch 201E5 is a great crank reel for the lefties though.

Re: Line Recommendations for all my rods
I'm a braid guy, so here's what I'd probably run.
1. Suffix 832 40/10 braid, with a 12-17 lb FC leader (I prefer Sniper or InvisX)
2. Suffix 832 40/10 braid, with a 12-17 lb FC leader
3. 10-12 lb FC
4. Suffix 832 30/8 braid, or Trilene XT (depends what you want to spend on it)

Re: cranking and jerking with braid
I do it all the time. Most of the water I fish is muddy/stained. If I'm in clearer water, I put a FC leader on.

Re: GlOOMIS RODS AMAZING DEAL
Since buying that rod, I've had more luck on that rod than any of my other rods.
And for me, I honestly prefer a shorter rod when it comes to working topwater lures.

I use a fluro leader any time I'm in clearer water.

What a small world haha
I live in Cranberry and I stopped in over the week and got myself a TWR 773C rod. Marked down to $145 and I had $40 in coupons, bringing my new GLoomis rod down to $105

Not sure how they'd work in saltwater, but I can throw a Rapala BX Minnow a mile.

Re: 832 breaking strength
I use 20 and 30 pound on my spinning rigs in the spring for the jigging crappie's in the trees. Straightens the hook out almost always and rarely breaks.
