Re: New reel: Shimano Flame
It's CI4+ instead of the graphite reinforced plastic (AKA graphite) of the regular Castias. I'm not sure that the other real is based on the curado 70 either. It has a shallower spool and is stated as a 100 sized reel. It's likely a curado 200 platform with a shallower spool.

Re: IP68 to Zillion magnet swap
Ito must have a thing for control. The Zonda had stronger magnets fitted to than what were found on an Alphas and his honeycomb spools, although I've never fished with one, have awfully deep inductors.

Re: Battler TWS
What ist the Basic Platform for this ??? Zillion TWS SV or the older Zillion TWS ? TWS, larger platform and line cap. Aimed at SW top end market. What is gear ratio ? Magsealed ? Check link in first post for full specs What is that larger line capacity? Any ideas? Same as Zillion HD? It's a 1516 re...

Re: Ultraskiff
This is one of the coolest thing I have ever seen. Finally a small watercraft with bass boat casting deck like stability. There's another option too, Roundabouts. They even have a tow hitch mounted holster for the thing which is really cool. https://www.roundaboutwatercrafts.com/product-category/rou...

Hmm... a black Pixy with bronze accents.
Would look pretty good on a Majorcraft Benkei BFS. Throw a DIY spool at it to get rid of that weird fixed inductor thing and a guy could have pretty slick rig.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
That sounds like fun, I think I'm gonna chuck on the Booyah Pond Magic 1/8oz with a 2.5" grub trailer, should be the goods. If that doesn't work out I will drop back to a ned rig. I've got that bait but haven't thrown it yet. I've got a bunch or small versions of normal bass baits but I just can't ...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
I just ordered a light blue spool for my T3, this is gonna be insane! Can't wait! I'm gonna spool it up with the thinnest mono around (6lb platypus super 100, 0.19mm) and find me some finesse bass! Get ready to have a blast. BTW ned rigs will catch bass of any size and just about any species of fis...

Re: IP68 to Zillion magnet swap
I don't know if this will help but I have a J-dream spool in my HLC and it launches baits with less over run. I don't know if maybe you could locate HLC magnets. I have to ask. You managed to acquire the bespoke J-Dream spool without a whole J-Dream bolted to it? If so, where and are there more for...

Re: Where can you get this stuff?
http://www.dreamfishingtackle.com/products_spool.asp Are these products available anywhere? Not sure. May have to contact dreamfishingtackle. My concern is that their 103 air spool looks exactly like the DIY air spool. More to the point, my concern is that it might actually be a $50 DIY 103 air spo...

Re: IP68 to Zillion magnet swap
I really don't want to mess with the spool. The IP/J-Dream have a 12 gram spool that is unique to these reels. The J-Dream has normal zillion magnets and is an excellent caster while the IP has stronger magnets fitted to it to increase control at the cost of distance. I'd like to make my IP cast lik...

IP68 to Zillion magnet swap
I've got Megabass IP68 and part of the Megabassafication of the reel was to fit stronger magnets to it. These stronger than normal magnets gives the reel lots of control but really chokes off the distance. The reel is on an FX711 that I use as general purpose do all including frogging and mag heavy ...

Re: Shimano Zodias BFS, anybody?
Looking forward to picking up the 610 ML. The 72 M I have fishes too much like a MH and the poor little Alphas on it doesn't get to have any fun. I'll be moving the Alphas to the 610ML and sticking either a Scorpion 70 or Entegetsu 100 on the 72M.

By the way, Gear set for SMART51MCS: http://ali.pub/9s1m6 http://g02.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1mbsiKpXXXXbCXVXXq6xXFXXXn/205955473/HTB1mbsiKpXXXXbCXVXXq6xXFXXXn.jpg Is this a replacement set or an upgrade? Does it improve smoothness? Wait, I thought the factory main gear was brass. Will this new gear set...
