Re: Chronarch ci4+ vs lews team lite
Thanks guys. That's what I was hoping to read. I was not a fan of the Curado I due to it being finicky for me, and I was a big supporter of the movement of lews putting the ACS braking in their reels other than the bb1 pro since it came out, so I feel I owe them a chance. I feel that the team lite ...

Re: Chronarch ci4+ vs lews team lite
I have the Team Lite and I'll tell you it will out cast most of my arsenal. That includes my Cores Metaniums and my Steez. It's not as smooth as my Steez is, but very smooth. I'd like a darker color but other than that, I have zero complaints. My only adjustments on the breaks come with wind change....

Re: Topwater popping rod
I've been using a Dobyns Champion 653CB for mine lately. I initially bought it for Jerkbaits, but decided I didn't like the Moderate action for Jerkbaits. Since then, its been great for Topwater. I throw 1/4 oz PopR's up to Sammy 85's and 100's. Its got plenty of give with more than enough backbone....

Re: Steez line question
I fish 15# p-line 100% on mine and do everything from pitching to small swim baits and spinner baits. Never an issue. Thank you. I went ahead and spooled up with #12 InvizX and doused it with KVD. I was hitting close to 35 yards with a 1/4 oz Swim Jig and no trailer. Its a whole different animal ca...

Re: Shimano Chronarch 100d7 Anti Reverse Bearing Help!
It should come out. I've been able to take it out with all my Shimano Reels. What does the roller clutch inner tube look like? Is it buggered up? http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=898_792_796&products_id=3502 Here is the part I do believe. I'd give TT a call and see if thi...

Re: JDM Purchase
Agreed. I have ordered two from them over the last month with zero issues. I did have a small SNAFU with Megabass, but just pay with paypal and you're covered.LgMouthGambler wrote:Order from Japan Lure Shop and you will have zero problems or worries.

Steez line question
I recently picked up my first Steez. Its the SV103H-TN. My question is, I have read some on this reel being finicky with Fluoro. My plan was to run this with 10-12# InvisX or the same with YoZuri Hybrid. Whats everyone's experience with this reel and Fluoro? I will be paring this with a DX 3 power r...

Re: Flippin/Pitchin with Micro Guides?
I had no issues using 20 pound Fluoro and 65 pound braid. Pitched right along with my standard guided rod, I could tell no difference. That was with no leader though. When I tied on a leader, even with a Modified Albright knot, it gave me trouble. Drove me nuts with the knot on the guides.

Re: Abu Garcia Volatile rods
I was going to grab one on the last sale, but I've been kinda turned off lately by anything Abu. I just dumped all my Veritas rods for one reason or another that had to do with QC issues. I am still debating on one, but I'm going to wait for more reviews to come out first.

Re: Crankbait rod under 200$?
Off several recommendations, I wound up with the 7'MHM Avid cranking rod. Before TW's sale it's around 189. Super light. 4.2 ounces. Has a nice deep flex and more sensitive than I could need. It's a tad heavy with Square A's, DT4's and 1.5's, but with a finesse reel it's not an issue. I've thrown 6X...
