Re: 13 Fishing Concept Z
With today's advancements in polymers, I doubt weather will play any greater role in these vs standard metal bearings. I am more interested in seeing how these hold up vs a traditional reel from Daiwa or Shimano.

Re: Aldebaran for jigs and worms?
Rest easy and grab the aldebaran. I have one that I use exclusively for 1/4 to 3/8 oz shakeyheads. It does outstanding and could easily do more. It is a very tight reel that hasn't shown me an ounce of flex. My opinion is that this reel could do almost anything but it excels in lighter baits. If you...

Re: Jackall Chan Wake
Reminds me of the ILoud from megabass which is a stud lure. I like Jackall and Megabass so I may grab one just to see how it compares. Same here.. I'm wanting for a shootout... I ordered one. I too want to try and compare them. Never know what subtle nuances there may be that separates them. Exciti...

Re: Met. MGL Micro Module Smoothness?
I have noticed the micro modules due tend to roughen up over time. I suspect the aluminum has something to do with it, but I wonder if maybe grease is needed more frequently due to the design of the smaller teeth.

Re: 10 foot rods
These ten foot rods are perplexing to me. I can see the benefit of them, but they will be a hassle to actually handle when not fishing. The irony is that most japanese rods are barely 7' and they seem to get by ok.

My top three are all listed here. May I recommend the Ikes Finesse Rugby Jig by VMC for the shakeyhead. It is stellar.accodn2ryan wrote:Had the most success with drop shotting for finesse. Going to try that ned rig, and also try more shakey heads this season.
