beware. do not speak its name.

id say almost 3.5 compared to my nrx843. to me its the ideal t-rig rod, cover permitting.

agreed. the old 782 and 842 glx are not just different in length, very different rods in my hands.

Re: New Senko/Neko Rod

NRX 852 would be my choice. I hear the new GLXs are great. ask tackletrap about a TT discount, you might be surprised. the expeditor plan lets me treat all of my loomis rods like they cost $100. 852 is also a great shakeyhead and 3/16-3/8oz DS rod IMO.

i'd love to see a 4 power treble hook rod around 7'3" and a small swimbait rod.

in this old video they mention more models to come at 0:30

Re: Need some help with G loomis What is your?

the old glx 842c is another of my favorites. i use it mostly for small swim jigheads with small paddle tails and topwater. the old glx 782c is a great pop-x rod. feels almost a power lower than the 842c in the tip IMO. i love the old grips on the glx. i dont care for the cork foregrip but laying my ...

unless you spend more than you can afford, youre not an enthusiast. ;)

$300 JDM reels and $350+ rods is where id prob put the line. you can fish quality combos for less but life is short.

Re: MegabassOrochi Diablo Uses

DSR is a great rod. i like it mostly for single hook moving baits around 1/2oz, lipless and "moving" top water as opposed to walking. loads up and casts the small whopper plopper a mile.

ive never fished a frog with the rod but i dont think it would lack in power when fishing them in light grass.

Re: How many rods?

if overhanging trees will be an issue i take 3 rods. on scotty holders at an angle, 1 in the front and two behind. if its an open area i will take up to five. usually 3 verticle and two in the scotty holders. 4 is a good compromise IMO. what rods i bring depends on the body of water and what i feel ...

Re: Destroyer USA Oneten special

i hope someone with more time with the rod than i have can answer your specific questions. i have only thrown walking topwater on the rod and it has been great for that. great for making roll casts. its a 7 foot rod north of the reel seat. balances very well - i have a Metanium on it currently. the ...

Re: Whose on top!

ha! its pretty hard to flip those things, you gotta really try or get into a hairy situation... there are only 2 lakes i would spend time throwing small hard swimbaits in my area (if you call a 2 hr drive "my area") and we usually bring a boat on those lakes. ive done 4oz+ in the bay on a kayak and ...

Re: Megabass Carbon Head Destroyer

thanks, Gary. i thought the older version was faster for some reason.

do you think the Faust would be a good choice for 1-1.5oz swimbaits and frogs or is it better suited for jig/worm?
