Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

The latest issue of Bassmaster Magazine has an add for the New Tatula 70 SV in it. There are no details given, just a picture, and there is a QR code that says learn more about the Tatula 70 SV but it goes to a six month old video with Brent Ehrler talking about SV technology in general. This new re...

The technology behind the exposed brake dial is called ADS "Aggravating Dial Slip", meant to go with "Exciting Drag Sound"
Gotta slip "hyper" in there somewhere. LOL

Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

I wish they would have gone with the Steez CT/Zillion route with the Mag dial but it's not a huge deal to me. I'm just happy I am gonna have a reel similar in size to the Steez CT with Air Rotation that doesn't cost 700 bucks to fumble around on rock piles along New River. I get nervy every time I u...

Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

One thing I have noticed with all Tatulas is that They do not like being reeled without the spool installed. Without the spool to support the pinion it tends to flop around a lot and that can damage the gears. I have also noticed a lot of variability in the Elites and 2020 SV reels. Before eventuall...

Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

Low range

The reel appears to be much narrower so a drop in from an SG is very unlikely

Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

Episode 7 is up now. This episode introduces the Tatula 80. It appears to be similar in size to the Steez CT and Alphas TW, with a 32mm Magforce spool. The sideplate screws are on the inside of the frame like the CT and Alphas. Very early in the video Seth Feider mentions a "70" as well and the SV s...

I think you are correct about that being a Steez rod.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

New Zillion Project t video up on YouTube. This one details the Booster system and Hyper Gear. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iLlscRMXlhI Interesting new rod appears early in video, it appears to have a silver locking nut kinda shaped like the ones on the Racing Design. Could this be a new Zillion rod?

Re: Tatula SV TW103 inital thoughts

There is one thing I have noticed about the Tatula SV 2020 that I don't fully understand. There does seem to be a lot of variability in the smoothness of each reel. I must have picked up 5 or more reels and reeled them before I finally found one smooth enough to consider purchasing. The one I bought...

Re: Tatula SV TW103 inital thoughts

I have had both of the Tatula SV versions. I much prefer the 2020 edition to the 2017 edition, mainly because of the frame profile of the 2020, which is like the Tatula 100 and Tatula Elite. I like it so much I sold both of the 2017 versions I had and have at least one more 2020 coming. I do wish Da...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

These two 4 pounders were caught from the same spot within 3 or 4 minutes of one another. Both hit a 3/16 once jig and trailer. Rod is a 6-7 Steez and the reel is a Tatula 100 with a DIY Spool. First fish was 4-1 and second was 4-0.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

Another 3lb smallie this time with a 2020 SV and a 7-1 compile X Steez. SV reel is basically stock but I have a spool coming for it now. This fish hit a prototype tube/craw bait that I am working on for super heavy wood and rock cover. Basically I take a 2.75 Yum Paca craw and screw in a 1/8 ounce w...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

I have not posted any smallmouth pics in a while but I have been catching a few. This one is a 3-12 caught with one of my 3/16 ounce Jigs with a Zoom Super Chunk Jr trailer. Rod is a Tatula Elite 6-9 Skipping and Reel is a Tatula Elite with a DIY Spool, 24 lb Gliss and 8 lb leader.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

Second video is now up. I wish to retract my earlier comment about it being more like the size of a Steez CT. After seeing the reel in the anglers hands it is clearly standard size, meaning there is hope that other 34mm spools will fit it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9LIKSuTJc5c Ehrler is in the v...
