My experience tells me that the smart money would be on the NRX. It's almost impossible to beat them for bottom contact stuff. But that's boring. Why dont you have a 894 stripped down and rebuilt? looks like i have to take a look at one. i noticed that the 2015s are HG and the 2014s are a slower gear. Are they the same reel?

I am really interested in knowing how often to oil the reels. I read that they need more maintenance than other reels. My manuals are in Japanese. Tried to take a picture and translate with an app but that didnt work out so well.

Thats what I mainly use my NRX843c for. I think the GLX 843 and 783 handles the 1/2oz + stuff better.
