Re: Mag3D

The curves look identical to me. Only difference is the height in relation to the rpms on the left. Makes sense because the magnetic pull is static. Distance from the inductor is the only thing that changes.

Re: Mag3D

On the chart, the upward slope represents the rpms necessary to engage the brakes. The downward slope is the brake profile during the slow down part of the cast. That's why the blue has the highest peak before the slope.

Re: Mag3D

Has there ever been a valid reason for Daiwa going away from this system? Answer - average Joe According to Daiwa when I asked them, the rep told me average Joe couldn’t handle it, this is why they went to single brake dial. Average Joe isn't likely going to buy a $300 reel anyway. I certainly don'...

They never will. Consider yourself lucky if you even get a distance tuned Steez and not some SV that casts like an Alphas SV.
Does seem like they're catering more to beginners and finesse anymore, unless you buy an aftermarket spool. Even the Steez A was pretty tame with the stock spool.

Has there ever been a valid reason for Daiwa going away from this system? People were literally begging for a Z1016 and the new Tatula platform would be perfect as it has been well received by pretty much everyone. I think a Tatula Elite 3D would be a game changer.

Re: Zolo Toadface?

I first seen the new enox at the Richmond VA fishing show and was very impressed. My good friend wanted the best chatterbait rod and took my advice and bought the bmj. Its really a nice build. He, my brother and I (all high end gear junkies) are all very impressed by the looks and how it fished. I ...

Could it have been one of those smash reels? Or was it clearly red?

Re: Handle for daiwa steez sv

RCS 90mm or SLP 95mm Do you know where I could find these handles or anyone selling them? Tackle trap seems to have some of the 90mm RCS. you can try the usual JDM sites (JLS, Hedgehog studio etc....) but depending on where your located they may not be shipping to your country at the moment. I woul...

Re: Need Help, New Spinning Reel

I also have the Daiwa Tatula LT, and fished a lot with it last year and haven't had any issues at all. Smooth drag, feather light (lighter than Ci4), but I like the line lay of my stradics more than the tatula LT. I've spooled it up twice already, and both times it doesn't come out as even than my ...

Re: At the end of the day, did you like the 13Fishing Concept Z?

Maybe it's me but I haven't had the urge for a 13 product since the OG Omen. By the time the Concepts were available in LH, it was just mehhhhhhhhhhhhh. Even the Archangel was like, really? It's JDM because it says JDM on the label? The Archangel did look very JDM and it was made in Japan. I think ...

Re: What is Daiwa doing?

Steez CT SV is a completely different animal than any Tatula. It's no different from other companies, Daiwa just chooses to use a single name. The Curado, Metanium, Bantam, etc , all perform well enough to make the Antares not worth the money. If they called it the Bantam Curado, or Curado MG, it'd ...

Re: Luvias LT

The US models have D in the model number, for deep spool. I don't know why Daiwa is putting those spools on all of their USDM reels. Nobody needs 400 yards of 15lb braid on a 2500 sized reel

Re: Luvias LT

I think the pricing hurts them a little bit. You can order the Certate from Japan for less than the Luvias in the US. They had some issues with distribution as well because of the corona. I am sure it is a really good reel though. I was eyeballing one pretty hard, until I found a good deal on a Cert...
