Re: Gitzit tubes and hook sizes

I t-rig tubes a lot during the winter, usually thick walled double dipped tubes, 3.5". I love Mustad Big Mouth tube hooks 3/0 for this specific application.

Yes, fished mine on Table Rock last winter quite a bit. 3/8 oz Texas rigged tubes, 15-30 FOW. Bite is very light, 893 does a good job of helping detect that light bite.

Re: Mustad FasTach wobble head (use your own hook)

I think they're over priced. I like the concept, but I won't pay $3.00 per head. I buy swing jig heads at Lure Parts, snip the worthless hook off they have, add a couple of #2 split rings (you have to do this to get the hook to set upright) and add a Gammie hook for much less. If the Mustads were $1...

Re: Top water action.

There's so much boat traffic in the lakes around here, the fish get conditioned to it. If a boat comes right over the top of them it may put them down for a few minutes, but they'll get back after the shad.

Re: Z-Man at it again, no USA Megabass Wild Header

I totally agree...of course it wasn't Z Man's idea to begin with...they lifted the concept too. Bums me out that they were the ones that filed for the patent and use well below par components. Z-Man bought the concept, that is alot different than "lifting" the concept, either way it is intellectual...

Yep, gotta find something that will hook them better than that buzz bait.

Re: Yo-Zuri 3DB Prop = AWESOME

Thanks, I fished Table Rock yesterday and had a similar experience with a buzz bait as you had - lots of strikes, but not many hook ups. Looking for an alternative that the bass will commit to, and this might be it.

Re: Yo-Zuri 3DB Prop = AWESOME

How do you work the 3DB? Walk-the-dog, or steady retrieve like a buzz bait?

Re: SPro Little John

I've caught a few fish on them in the fall when the Wiggle Wart bite is on. Good alternative to the WW if you want to throw something a little different.

Re: No more Lifetime Warranty- Shimano Rods

I am fine with companies not offering a lifetime warranty. Manufacturer defects will show up in the first year with normal use. If it makes it a year, then breaks... it was likely something I did. But... the cost of that lifetime warranty is built into those rods. I am sure the rods are more expens...

Re: Wobble Head

Pigsticker baits makes one that has a horizontal hook hanger with a split ring so that you can change out the hook. Here's the link:
