I missed a dimension and it allowed the pinion to sit too low. Hence why it was wearing on the yoke!! Minor changes and a new updated pinion ready to test this weekend.

Had a cold front move in Friday and offered perfect conditions for bass stuck on the bottom. Started out Texas riggin, and then some heavy jigs. Day one of testing was OK, But had spool engagement issues. Tweaked for day two's test and all went very well. Besides being a bit geary feeling they fished the best so far!! I got my Steez HLC spool and fished it last weekend. Honestly didn't notice much difference from the steez spool I had with the HLC spring mod!!
