Tatula Elite Long Cast
Those who own one of the new Tatula Elites - how are these things for casting? How do they compare to the current Shimano MGL options? Lately, I find myself leaving my Daiwa's at home and only taking my Shimano's with me, but I don't want to completely give up on Daiwa yet. I'm currently looking at ...

Re: Scorpion MGL
I've been putting some miles on mine since it was released. It's great for bombing Keitechs and spinnerbaits. I'm really happy with mine and I'm debating picking one up in a 6:1 to go with my HG.

Re: New Tatula Elite Reel
Who has some on the water experience with these? I'm looking at trying one of these out or maybe another Scorpion MGL.

Re: '19 Scorpion MGL 150
From my best guess of reading Japanese, my box says there's 7 bearings. Thanks. If it has 7+1, they probably added one to the levelwind, normally the Scorpions are a slightly upgraded Curado. Also possible that the count is identical to the Curado K, and it was a simple misprint to list as 7+1 rath...

Re: '19 Scorpion MGL 150
From my best guess of reading Japanese, my box says there's 7 bearings. From the way the handle knobs turn, they feel like there's only bushings in there. As for the levelwind, I'm not sure on that on yet. I keep a pretty good stash of those bearings in the shop and I usually add them to all my reel...

Re: '19 Scorpion MGL 150
I got mine in yesterday. Man is this thing sweet. Feels just like my Metanium and Chronarch MGL's when I turn the handle. The red is a nice dark red with a shiny dark titanium accents with some red metal flakes in it. The tension control knob even has a scorpion etched into it. I can't wait to get i...

Re: '19 Scorpion MGL 150
Heads up they are out now, eBay has them as well as Japan lure shop. I have mine on the way should be here by Saturday! I can’t wait. :D Thanks for the heads up. I bought a 151HG from eBay last night before bed. I woke up this morning to tracking information and a message from the retailer thanking...

I can't say anything for the Zillion, but I own 4 of the Chronarch MGL's and they have all served me very well. I can't say anything bad about them.

What's your point here? Are we seriously arguing over every reel that's ever been painted red?LgMouthGambler wrote:Red, yes. Red sideplates with a black frame, no.

Has anyone else been eyeing this reel up? If this is a Curado K with an MGL spool, I'd have to think it's going to be a winner. Does anyone know any other specs about it yet? I haven't really seen any other posts about this reel yet.

Re: Shimano Spinning Suggestions
Heart set on shimano? I could be swayed to a Diawa, but do they offer anything that compares in the sub $300 category? I'm not looking to drop $500 plus for reel for a fairy wand. There is an Exsence Ci4+ that isn't quite as high end as the magnesium framed Exsence. I think it is more of a hybrid o...

Shimano Spinning Suggestions
I'm looking for another higher end spinning setup for primarily throwing finesse swimbaits and shakeyheads. The new Sustain has piqued my interest. However in my research I'm seeing the Exsence ci4+ from Japan for roughly the same price. The Exsence looks like it has a much shallower spool, so I'm w...
Re: Biospawn
A little expensive, but they've got some good looking baits. I like the Plasmatail for shakeyheads. The Exoswim seems like a solid swimbait. And that new Vilebug looks like a sweet flipping bait. I'm looking to pick up a pack or two and test those out.
