Re: Blue Emblem vs. Current ZPI PG and M offerings

You can buy both the PG and M spools brand new for what you will pay for a used BE. Two actually, and that’s part of my delima as well Two? The new Zpi spools are $140 from Tackle Trap. You plan on paying $560 for a BE? Maybe you didn’t get what I meant. You can buy one of each Zpi spool for less t...

Re: ZPI NRC001PG... Anyone knows what is the use of ....

The PG spool does just fine with braid. I’ve had one spooled with #30 since they were first in stock at Tackle Trap. The spool performs amazing in a Tdz. Not the same results in a steez sv tw. Performs worse in a steez tw? Yes, in my experience with it on the water. PG in a Tdz can go low on the br...

Green machine

Most recent custom reel I had done. Paint scheme was something myself and the painter came up with. Spankey at The Tackle Trap did all the tuning/polishing and reassembly. TD-Z 103ml with 7:1 gears, modified driveshaft to use a steez style bolt, carbontex drag washers, YT fusion hd+ bearings, zillion ...

Re: Post purple

Finally scored a deep purple HH cast cap after a year of looking. The twins are totally complete now.

Re: Post purple

That Ito is stunning, how well does that finsish hold up? The finish is. Not anything the flat finish of the Zonda or IS reels. I use that reel a lot and it’s been good so far. Lowrange, those are from Slp works. The deep purple from HH is pretty much the same color. Both match Daiwa factory purple...

Re: Post purple

I seem to be a big fan of purple. The ito parts all match but the lighting makes it look like it’s a different shade on the retainer and caps. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/150x100q90/923/zGC6nO.png https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/150x100q90/923/Ee8RCh.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/...

Re: An ubelievable kick in the teeth

I'm ordering 2 basszone handles tomorrow. $50 apiece, so $100 for two reels worth $150. Daaang.. they would have looked perfect with the Zillion drag stars and Zillion handles....he doesn't need a handles that's bearing supported...just crap... Why not put a 90mm zillion sv or tatula sv handle on t...

Re: An ubelievable kick in the teeth

I’m glad my gf is ok with my addiction and would never do anything like that. Heck, if she bumps a rod on the wall rack she says I’m sorry haha. She knows how much most of my stuff costs. I buy her a new MK purse and wallet here and there, and all is good in my world.

Re: OG Steez vs Steez TW

I was hoping it would be a Goldilocks reel to fit between the Alphas and sv103, but it's not markedly better then either of them (esp the sv103) and for my hands, far less universally comfortable then with of them as well. Right now mine is sitting on the shelf as I could not get a comfortable grip...

Re: OG Steez vs Steez TW

I think both are comfortable for how I hold a combo. I’ll give a slight edge to the sv tw though. If we are also factoring in price, then I’m og Steez all the way. Sv tw isn’t worth the money in my opinion. It does nothing that my $200 Alphas sv can’t do, and it does nothing my $200 sv103 can’t do. ...

Re: Long distance spool for sv103

I think there is a little confusion going on here. HLC is a phrase coined by daiwa indicating a spool with a strong spring that is designed to throw 1/2 plus lures a long ways. They make an HLC spool for the tatula and 36MM version for thier HLC reel but should fit into any 1514 Daiwa. To my knowle...

Re: td-z103 help

Only for left hand reels can you speed it up to 7:1. Probably the first time ever that lefties have something you guys don’t.
