Re: Fluke rod
I've been known to throw a Super Fluke on a St. Croix Avid 6'8" MXF and a Avid 7' MF casting rods. Of the two I prefer the 6'8" because it's a crisper blank. I love, love, love that 6'8" Avid rod. I use it for topwater, jerkbaits, and senko's as well.

Re: 13 Fishing Muse Gold Spinning
I won the 6'9" ML in a 13 Fishing Facebook contest last year in March. I used it for jerkbaits and it worked fairly well for that. Problem is I prefer to use casting gear, so it wasn't exactly a go to set up for me. I think I'm going to try drop shotting with it some this year.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I won't get to use it until next year as winter has decided to show up here in Central MN.

I bought 13. About half are back ups for lures I already have and the other half are bait I haven't tried yet. Looks like they will be coming in 4 or 5 different packages.

Re: best all around rod for spinnerbaits, chatter baits and
I have both the Loomis 783 in GLX and IMX and the 6'8"MXF Avid. You can't go wrong with any of those rods. They also work very well for topwater, jerkbaits, and flukes. Awesome rods.

13 Fishing Muse Gold
I won the 13 Fishing weekly contest and am getting a 6'9" Med. Muse Gold out of it. Anybody out there have one and want to tell me what you use it for?
I am thinking of using it for Flukes and Senko's.

I don't really have one. I go out and fish what I feel like throwing. I either catch fish or I don't.

The Jerk Shad is a good bait and you can't beat the price when they are on sale. Up here in Pike country it's good thing having back ups for when they steal one.

Re: A good day of bass fishing, what does it take?
I expect to catch something, not necessarily bass, most of the times I go. Seeing as how most of the time now days I fish from shore just catching something is a good day, especially with the low water levels in my area of the state; I'm also in central MN. My last trip out was paddling in my 10ft C...

For Horny Toads I like a 4/0 Stanley Ribbit Double Take Hook. I use Tyger wire leader to prevent pike break offs.
