Re: Special ordering rods
Post what you find out. I haven't inquired about special ordering yet. I still have to wait until I get my tax return to officially do any purchasing.

Re: Special ordering rods
You can email different places to see if they can special order it for you. Matt B at 13 Fishing told me to try Bassmafia or American Legacy. I emailed them about that exact rod due to the other thread

Re: MB Orochi F4.5-68XX Jerkbait Special a possible finesse
The only thing I worry about with a rod that is too soft or parabolic is that hooksets will be tough when using weightless Texas rigged small plastics.
The KLX rods are really nice, but after using rods with reel seats that have more exposed blank those reel seats feel bulky.

Re: Aldebaran BFS or Upgraded CH50E?
I do prefer the slightly longer 84mm handle with the bigger grips like on the 200 series reels, but I could always swap that out later. Pretty sold on the Aldebaran. Thanks for all the info!

Re: MB Orochi F4.5-68XX Jerkbait Special a possible finesse
That Major Craft looks sweet. I've never ordered anything from Japan, though. However, I already have 3 Omens and love them. I may very well look into that one. That review was pretty right on the money. Small creature baits and 3" senkos will get tied on the most. I'm also curious as to what Shiman...

Re: MB Orochi F4.5-68XX Jerkbait Special a possible finesse
Almost entirely weightless plastics, like Z-hog Jr's and 3" senkos and the occasional small jerkbait, squarebill and jig. Just after thinking about it while typing this out, I guess I could probably go with a slightly less parabolic rod?

Re: Aldebaran BFS or Upgraded CH50E?
Wow, that's a pretty big compact design. Thanks for posting that. Did you put a longer handle on it?

MB Orochi F4.5-68XX Jerkbait Special a possible finesse rod?
Would that particular Megabass rod work as a finesse casting rod? I'm thinking about getting an Aldebaran BFS XG and want to pair it with something. An Orochi XX would be on the extreme end of what I might be able to afford. I'm also considering a 13 Fishing Envy 6'10 M. But I might just end up goin...

Re: Aldebaran BFS or Upgraded CH50E?
21farms, is the spool tension knob annoying at all being on the palm side of the Aldebaran?

Re: Aldebaran BFS or Upgraded CH50E?
Almost forgot about the gear ratio difference. I could always swap gears from a Core, but then that's more money and time. Probably leaning toward the Aldebaran BFS XG. I read the TT review and if anyone who has one can comment on the spool tension being easy to move since it's on the palming side, ...

Aldebaran BFS or Upgraded CH50E?
At some point this spring, I think I'd like to get a new setup and really treat myself. I love using weightless plastics with a baitcaster, so I'm thinking about getting a finesse setup. So, I was wondering what folks thought about the Shimano Aldebaran BFS without upgrades versus either a CU50E or ...
Re: Curado I
I have no problems with the Crurado G series. The two I have are great for the price point. It's a shame they were so maligned because of their name and color scheme. But I'm certainly excited for the new reels coming out. Hoping the Citica gets an update as well.

Re: What color will the new curado be
I thought the new Curado is the HG and not the I? Since there are multiple releases next month and more throughout the year (Icast?), it's possible the Chronarch E could be going away as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they just phased it out since the Chronarch Ci4+ seems to be doing so well and t...

Re: What color will the new curado be
I know it's only a $20 difference, but I hope you are right. Some folks are insisting it will be $200.
Will be interesting to see what they do with the Citica and Chronarch E series this year as well.

Re: new curado?
Is there going to be a press/info release before the 21st? Or is that and product availability going to be at or around the same time? Now we just need the price. The reel looks like the Ci4+ frame and handle side plate with the Metanium brake side plate. But the pic is only one angle, so it could j...
