Re: Metanium Mg7 and light lures

=))))

Jeff,
It seems the monkey got you! Did you get a new or used one? Hold on a sec *talks to monkey* ... OK, the monkey wants to know if you got a "deal" and if so, where?

*monkey laughing at me*

Great ... thanks, Jeff.

Re: New member - seeking advice

Be afraid ... be very afraid, Bryan. I used to be satisfied with "normal" tackle till I started hanging out with this crowd. Now, my credit card company loves me—a lot! You'll get a TON of great advice here though! But once you start researching a little bit about the gear that gets recommended, you...

Re: Jackall Bros. "EDUM STRAIGHT"

Bernhard,
I believe that the Inifini is for wacky rigging, but am sure it can me modified to do other things as well by pulling off one side or the other. I think Keitech makes a bait similar to this one. Plus, there are other companies that make baits close to this ...

Scorpion 1000 and saltwater

Hey folks, I'm going on an inshore saltwater trip and would like to take my Scorp 1000 with me as I just replaced the handle. Bantam 1 mentioned that it is not approved for salt though ... Can it just be rinsed after the trip and be ok? If not, I'll be trying out the Curado 100D, which will be rinse...

Re: Kistler LTX handle material

It's a bummer! I am digging the rod a lot, but that handle shape gets on my nerves! I have never understood the the "hump" right behind the handle either??!?! When I had my pool cue built, I asked Stan to customize the shape so it tapered IMMEDIATELY past the handle and then eventually flare a bit t...

Re: Kistler LTX handle material

From Kistler Rods, "... there is a thick thread wrap over a special mold that is able to be sanded on but this will damage the thread wrap and will reduce the life of the rod ..."

Guess there's no reshaping there!

Re: Kistler LTX handle material

Kistler wrote back that it is not able to be sanded, but never mentioned what the material is. I have a rod with an EVA butt and it is NOT EVA. Also spoke to Stan from Shakedownrods and he said it ok to sand/shape. The kicker is that Kistler said that I could send it to them and have them put cork o...

Kistler LTX handle material

This is reposted from BFHP ... Does anyone know what the handle material for the LTX series rods are made of? I am considering shaving the "hump" down, but am not sure if the grip is hypalon (never used hypalon)or some type of rubber ...? TIA, Will * More importantly, can the material be safely sand...
