Re: Daiwa Zillion Type R drive shaft
Jdream drive shaft is a direct swap. I put it on my 50th. I prefer the screw in handle nut. You can get them from PLAT for fairly cheap. I believe part #22 on both schematics...it's at the top of each page either way to verify. Left hand: https://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/partsorder.php?products_i...

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
zillion over steez A. I'm a little surprised. Why Zillion over Steez A? :-k I think Steez A still is over Zillion in Daiwa's category. But I don't have neither of these reels, so I don't know. I love the steez a and all its variants but the Zillion is just as smooth. Svboost spool is head and shoul...

Re: Steez A vs. Morethan
I have both in the 7:1. They’re nearly identical reel aside from cosmetics , handle, and the spool. Gears swap, etc. I would choose the morethan everytime. I like the stock spool in it and it just looks cool. I got mine from Asian fishing portal for 368 last year.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
How does the size of the frame compare to the Steez SVTW, Steez CT, and Tatula SV? I'm asking because I have tiny hands and have trouble palming my curado and my Tatula SV reels. I'm looking for a reel that can handle a wide variety of baits from 1/4-3/4 oz. For a couple versatile rods I have an am...

all my recent orders from Japan have come via DHL/FedEx and arrive in less than a week. Cost is usually 14-20$.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Got my pre-order in at TTT. I think I'm going to have to spend some of my stimulus money there also... President's orders right? Looks like the USDM Version has a darker handle as well. I think I prefer the silver handle. Oh well. I hope I can swap in a Zillion Type R Drag Star for some contrast. D...

I've also seen a few of those same posts/spool floating around on IG. I'm hoping the 1000 SV BOOST is available for purchase soon. I Really like the one I have.

Re: Carbon Handle for shimano metanium 2020
Daiwa, lews, abu garcia share the same 5x8 handle dimensions and can be swapped between each other. The only variation is the knob spindle that varies in size which only effects what knobs you can use. IE lews 90/95 handle swaps to daiwa but daiwa knovs dont work on the handle. Shimanos are 4x7 . If...

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Not sure if you have had your hands on both but out of curiosity, are the USDM and JDM spools different? The JDM lists at 14/90 and 16/80 and the USDM lists at 14/100 and 16/85.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Hasn't diawa used their dura aluminum gears successfully for years in alot of their higher end reels including steez? The reason I ask is that I'm puzzled as to why they would go brass for the usdm market if the result of doing so meant adding a half ounce of weight. Is it purely because the Americ...

Re: Oneten stick jerkbaits
I have this rod. The action is true regular IMHO and it will be OK for 110 and pop max, 1/2 oz is fine on it, but does not cast smaller 1/4 popx well at all. It is a strange rod, the tip diameter it disproportionally large, it looks to me almost like the blank was cut in the wrong place, instead of...
