Re: Bait Monkey is F***ing Me Over!!! HELP ME!

I don’t have an 893c...but I keep reading great things about it.

What are the applications, and what makes it so great?

I looked at the specs, and it’s over 7 feet long, and that is usually a turnoff for me.

Re: Braid Scissors Question

Picked up this tip from Bass Boat Central. The kids Fiskars scissors at Wally World are only about $2 and work really well. I do have a pair of Boomerangs also, and they work really well also. For trimming ends of a leader knot, they can get as closer than any scissors I've tried. I posted earlier ...

Re: Rod and reel storage in between trips

I use the Cabela’s reel bags to store my reels. Very convenient.

Rods are kept in Stik Jackets.

I may keep some lower end combos together, and put a reel cover over the reel, and a Stik Jacket on the rod.

Re: GYCB Fat Ika?

I fish them with the skirt trailing, but some people put the skirt at the top at the hook eye.

What method do you use?

I have also read about inserting a nail. Comments would be appreciated.

Re: Preferred Shaky Head Worm? Is Floating Necessary?

This thread from two years ago presents excellent info on floating worms.

I see that there is more recent interest into floating worms so I’m bumping to get more attention.

One major point is my posting of the message that I received from Roboworm concerning the floating of their worms.

Re: Z man Zinkerz not floating ?

I read the Bassmaster article on Ned.

To get the best action from the TRD, I read where the salt should be removed or greatly reduced.

I would like to know how you reduce the salt.

Thanks. I hope this is the right thread to ask the question. I did a search on TRD and wound up here.

Re: Abu is complete garbage compared to Daiwa and Shimano

I would say that Abu is # 3 behind the other two brands....or Abu could have slipped to 4 since Lew’s has come up in recent years.

The TWS and SV spool have made Daiwa # 1. The TWS is great reel engineering.

Re: Terrible Chinese knock off reels

I have read the entire thread, but has anyone used the KastKing brand? I bought a few KastKing brands, and returned all of them. The brakes must be turned up all the way, and even then you get loops frequently. I had a friend try them. He said they cast like an Ardent that he has. One cast will be p...

Re: Terrible Chinese knock off reels

It's obvious that the two reels in the photo are different...right and left should be mirror images of each other, but these are not.

You can tell by how much of the spool is visible in each reel.

Anybody Use the "Hook and Bullet" Website?

I spent the weekend in Lewisburg, WV where I had never had been before. I wanted to do some bass fishing, and I came across the Hook and Bullet website that promises to locate the fishing hot spots near you. The result for Lewisburg was a list of 25 locations and the distances from Lewisburg. We tri...

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input

The TRD 2 3/4 inch plastic weighs 0.162 oz or 1/6 oz. More than a 3-inch Fat Senko. My wife weighed a lot of my plastics back in 2015 on her very accurate scale in the university medical research lab where she worked as a research scientist. I posted the weights in 2015, here in the plastics section...

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input

It was a 1/8 head...

I wanted to try a little heavier lure at first, and then move to a lighter lure like the weightless 4-inch Senko.
