Re: fenwick smallmouth rod
I will be throwing jigheads+twistertails, spoons, spinnerbaits, and some cranks.
I guess my question concerning the 12lb pike was that does the rod have enough backbone to pull a pike out of weeds if needed? I

fenwick smallmouth rod
I have become fed up with my shimano compre breaking, and the fact that shimano takes ~3 months to get a rod replaced. Im going to try some fenwick rods. I have 2 question about the elitetech smallmouth rod. 1) I cant really find a pic of the underside of the handle, but is the blank partially expos...

Anyone tried this line? about the same price as sufix 832, but the lines are thinner. How does it compare to other 8 carrier braids?

Re: Braided line noise - how does it affect your fishing?
Not sure exactly what Sufix braid U use but I've been using Sufix832 for the last 2 years and it's been great. I used PP before and did not like it much. I hear from some fishing buddies that PPS8 is a great braid line to use but I have not tried it myself. I use sufix performace. 832 is a bit too ...

Braided line noise - how does it affect your fishing?
My sufix performace and PP makes quite a bit of noise coming out of my guides, and im wondering if this affects my fishing in any way, other than guide damage/annoying noise? Does the noise affect fish biting/doe it spook them? Iv been using it for my crankbaits, and for some reason I seem to get le...

Re: BPS CarbonLite
went to BPS again and felt the rods. Although they are pretty light, they do seem just a bit heavier than compre. Also, their tip seem a lot thinner than compre.
Since im not in any hurry, i think il wait for some kind of sale before getting one.

Does this rod really break as easily as people say? Iv been having problem with my Compres and am thinking of trying out this rod. But the thing is, a lot of people say that this rod snaps very easily, while casting, landing, hooksets, etc.
Is this rod really brittle, or does it snap easily?

Re: Shimano Compre - Tip breaking
well..........its just a slight difference between IM9 (compre) and IM8 (BB). After having 2 compre break from simple, light tasks, not sure if id trust them again if a 3rd breaks. Bionic isnt as sensitive but at least its pretty durable...
