Re: New Dropshot Rod!
Well...fished the rod for a few hours on sunday morning. A small city park pond in southern california...maybe two or three acres. The rod is EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be! Slightly lighter tip than my 781IMX with a bit more backbone. Casted my 3/16oz weight and 4.5" roboworm with no problem...

New Dropshot Rod!
Just got a new NRX dropshot rod...first one had to go back with cracks in the clearcoat. I had orignally ordered the green not realizing that the whole rod is coated. The folks at TW were nice enough to send me a blue one in return. Now it will match my 803C as well. Well the rod arrived today and l...

Re: The one combo you can't live without If you could only k
It would be very difficult to not have a dropshot rod since that is my go to...but out of all my rods and reels this one will never be sold. For me it is the perfect all-around rod...light, balanced and sensitive...it is a joy to fish! Otterods: NFC 665-1 HM extended to 6'8" with carbon tube (gold l...

Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
A little off topic but I would like to add that my favorite and most used lens is my Nikon N AF-S MICRO Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8G ED. It’s really crystal sharp when attached to a tripod for macro work and gets excellent result from about 3’ out to ∞ . Surprising I can take really good close ups due to th...

Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
WOW 50 1.2 thats a wicked lens and quite expensive like 1500. You have about 6k worth of glass =D> The 50 1.2 is on my camera 75% of the time...by far my favorite lens. I really love the FL and the look of the images it produces. I am lucky that I have such a generous famly that give me lots of gif...

Re: What does a rod weigh?
I have weighed my BCR 803 GLX and NRX 803C...
From memory:
BCR 803 GLX = ~4.3oz
NRX 803C = ~3.6
May be off a few 0.1's since it was a while ago but the NRX is significantly lighter than the GLX...
Hope this helps,
Don

My first Otterods...(Pix up)
Just got it today and grabbed a few pics in the fading light. Matt was great to deal with and kept me informed throughout the build. All of my other customs are built around a Core51 so they tend have a grey/red or black/red theme. I had a Steez 103HLA that needed a rod so I wanted to do something a...
