Re: Charlie Brewer Sliders
Hawk, I use the 1.5in Slider grubs on 1/16oz jigheads for all sorts of panfish. I normally use a slow roll type retrieve along with occasional shakes and pauses. I use a lot of different colors depending on water clarity and baitfish. Here in Northern NJ the Yellow Perch have just started their Fall...

Re: I'm going backwards
UL, Used them for years! The 1300 for bass and the 700 for ul. The drag just might be the best on the scene. I read somewhere once that the SS series had more light line class world records then any other reel. If you can live without the refinements I say go for it. I am happy with my modern JDM 10...

Another vote for the Luvias 1003! I used to Exist 1003H native customs matched to my G. Loomis TSR rods. Due to a lot of use and old age I have begun to replace some with Luvias 1003 from the current series. I could not be happier with them. I am debating sending my my natives back to Japan for comp...

St. Croix newvtrout series ul for 2014
Hey Guy's, St Croix has a new trout series of ul rods coming out at icast. From what I have read sounds like 2 piece blanks based on the previous panfish series. As you all know I am a die hard G. Loomis fan. However since they won't make me pro staff I bought my nephew a panfish series 6'9 ul. Very...

I do find myself not getting out as much now that my girls are older as well. Between school, sports and girl scouts they are always on the go.......My highlig...

ULJ,
Well done my friend!!! Still want to take you fishing one day soon. Sorry to hear about the loss of you combo. I really liked the Fenwick, just the grip was not for me. Hopefully you can replace it one day soon!

CST,
I am UL 24 / 7 So you have nothing to worry about. Fish my gear almost 175 days a year and the guides are holding up well.

Right the blend models have alconite guides. I have been running mine with Fireline and have not grooved a single guide.
