Re: Decoy snaps

I use the 50lb Tactical Anglers Power Clips reviewed upon this very site. Tried them immediately and have not looked back. Awesome advantage for quick change and very reliable. I have literally never had a lure find it's way loose. Never. The only exceptions to usage would be recessed line ties seen...

Re: Matching trailers or not?

Jigs are a blast to fish and come in all sorts of sizes, shapes and styles. Yup. I find myself enjoying bladed jigs as much as possible. I prefer to contrast color selection, but make a point of keeping dark color with dark color and light color with light color. Dark could be black, heavy blues, gr...

Re: New Daiwa SLP Cork Knobs

Welcome. I've been reading for some time myself. Lots of good insight here and no need to by shy. Anglers are good people. It's a brotherhood. I have no experience with these knobs, but notice the product description states light saltwater game. As such, my guess is real cork for the grip it provide...

Re: Help reel feels grindy

I post to keep your inquiry on top of this current topics list, as I'm curious what others might say. I do not, nor have I ever owned such a reel, but given it's smoothness without the spool installed one might come to the conclusion your problem is a spool/side plate bearing? Or I suppose you could...

Re: Color highlights on Tatula 103XH??

BE CAREFUL WITH THE ROYAL PURPLE! Sorry for the melodrama. I bought the one and it turned out to be a bit lighter than I though, so I had to buy the other. Been there, done that. Like I suggested, just 99.8% judging by photo. Might not be a bad idea to buy both... Anodizing can be tricky to match, ...

My thoughts exactly. I bite the bullet with 110's because I believe they are the best I've used. However, this is not to say I don't feel ripped off as a result. If I can find confidence with an alternative on the cheap, I'm aaaall over it.

Re: Color highlights on Tatula 103XH??

I don't have the reel, but have gobs of anodized goods from Hedgehog, and judging by photo I would say the color you're after is 'Royal Purple'. I'd advise I'm about 99.8% on this assessment. The deep purple is just that, it's darker than you think.

Re: mend it bait glue

I agree with everyone. Certainly worth the purchase. If I waste a lure, which happens all the time because I like hand pours so much, then I toss it in a bag to bring home for Emergency Medical Procedures.

Re: Ceramic bearings in MLF and Elite anglers reels?

'For sure' is a big question when it comes to personal equipment and chasing cash. Big name sponsored anglers, those who get reels for free to be used as advertising endorsement, probably do not modify them. Set them up properly? Of course. Show them off, brag about how great they are? You bet. Modi...

Cool. I've been eyeballing one of those sticks for a couple years myself, but don't have the guts for it. KUDOS So, I was fairly certain the TT boys had reviewed one a while back and found proof within the archive. They take the liberty of answering your question below; 'Well, we are happy to report...
