Re: SPro Little John
Thanks for the input everyone. I've always thrown the DT line of crankbaits as well, but I figured these were worth a shot.

Re: How to walk a frog and what frog walks the best?
The Spro Bronze Eye frogs seem to walk fairly well. However, I get better hookups with the Booyah pad crasher.

SPro Little John
Recently just picked a few of these up after seeing them in the store and liking how they looked. I got the MD version. What's everyone else's experience with these?

I'm not a Quantum fan, but I would give one a shot at that price if they offered the left handed model for $99.

Re: Im still unsure what line i should use for my Chronarch
I run Suffix 832 on both of mine. One with 40 pound, the other with 50 pound. Primarily throwing crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and topwater.

Re: hook set on senko
Whenever I feel a bite, I usually give it a 3, 2, 1, set count down. It gives the fish a second to really get the bait in their mouth.

Re: Shimano Curado I vs Daiwa Tatula
I own the Curado I. But I've only held the Tatula's. I must say I'm impressed with the Tatula's, and they're a decent reel for the money. But I wasn't impressed enough to buy one over the Curado I. I just don't think the Curado I can be beaten in the sub $200 category.

Re: new crucial vs last year's crucial
I now own 2 of the new Crucial's. I love these rods. I have a 6'10" MH-F split grip casting, and as of yesterday, I now have a 7' M-M cranking full handle casting rod. Love the weight, sensitivity, and balance. The reel seat is also very nice and comfortable. They're one heck of a rod for the price ...

Re: Top water action.
Even on bodies of water with unlimited HP boats, fish will still hit on topwater. Give it a shot during the times where boat traffic is low. Coincidentally, those times are the same times that the topwater bite is at its best. Very early morning, and late evening/dusk.
