Re: GLX or Legend Xtreme?
I don't have an exact budget. Really not looking to spend over what a glx costs retail though. Plus I've been hearing way too many bad things with the nrx. I really just want the most sensitive rod I can get and something that I can use light line (7-8lb). Glx seems to be the way to go and its, as y...

Re: Flourocarbon and Braid
This past year was my first full year of using braid. I use primarily spinning gear so I was throwing 10lb fireline in the flame green color. I do a lot of night fishing in the summer and this particular braid will glow with a blacklight. One thing I don't understand about braid is how they come up ...

Re: GLX or Legend Xtreme?
I've gotten use to 7ft rods but I had the opportunity to pick up the 6'6 or 6'8 medium glx and really liked it. Can't remember which one it was since I was rushed at bass pro and only got to drool over it for a few seconds. The 7ft medium glx is rated 8-17lb line and seems a bit heavy for what I wil...

GLX or Legend Xtreme?
I'm looking trying to decide between the two. Looking for about a 7ft rod and will be using it for shakey heads and tubes paired with a fuego 200 A. I've never owned a St. Croix but have heard their medium power rating is like 1/2 power higher so I was considering the 7ft medium light legend xtreme....

flutter spoon?
Anyone ever used a flutter spoon or know much about them? I would like to try them on some deep ledges or humps and see what happens.

Re: Replacement screw for pflueger patriarch
I will definitely make sure I check the screws on new reels in the future. I tightened up the other screws on the reel and hopefully it's a fluke like you said. On the bright side, I called Pflueger and they are going to send me a new screw for free...they are even going to pay the shipping :D in ca...

Replacement screw for pflueger patriarch
I was fishing yesterday with my new patriarch spinning reel when I felt something hit my shoe then heard a small splash. I did not think much about until I started reeling in and felt the reel wobbling like crazy. One of the screws in the bail apparently just fell out. I assumed after spending $200 ...

Re: actual weight of carbonlite?
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I just wasn't sure how these rods compared in weight to some more expensive rods. Looks like they compare very well. Going to have to buy one soon.

Re: actual weight of carbonlite?
Appreciate the information. I guess I'll just have to purchase one and give it a try. I picked one up and like you said it is light and felt very comfortable in my hands. How is the sensitivity?

actual weight of carbonlite?
I'm thinking of picking up a carbonlite and was just wondering how much these rod weigh. I haven't been able to find any information other than people saying "they are really light", not very helpful. I just noticed them on sale at BPS and they are reasonably priced so of course it screams buy me. O...
