Re: Is there a better deep jerkbait than the staysee 90

I prefer the Jackall DD Squirrel 79 or Pointer XD's over the staysee. They seem to have better action, and have caught a ton on them. If you're looking at bigger sizes, I have the 110 +2 but haven't thrown it yet...the +1 is worth it if you don't have. Someone mentioned the shadow rap deep, and I ag...

I concur about the Giant Dog-X, I'd give a slight ease-of-walking advantage over Sammy

Impressions of new Tatula rods?

Wondering if anyone has fished or handled the new Tatula rods -- balance, weight, sensitivity or other observations? Thanks!

Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy

Thank you very much for the information. One of my favorite rods so I guess I'll keep fishing it for now. I ordered it from TW and have the receipt. I'm not 100% sure. I think they have been offering MSRP credit. I do not see any model listed in our system for use as a replacement in warranty situat...

Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy

Thank you for your response! To me it looks more like air voids under the clear coat than moisture, and the rod has been well taken care of. Out of curiosity, what would replacement option be with no Adrenas available? It's hard to tell what is going on from your picture. It doesn't look like there ...

Re: Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy

Rod has not been stored in the boat or anywhere else near moisture, and has looked this way for weeks with no change.
Tim Kelly wrote:If it had been lying in a damp rod locker the dampness can get into the clearcoat. It usually dries out when taken out of the locker though and should go back to normal.

Disturbing discovery - Poison Adrena 7'4" Heavy

Just noticed what looks like air voids or clear coat cracking? on my beloved Adrena 7'4" pitch/flip. It is only on the side opposite the guides, and spans from just above the 3rd guide from the bottom almost up to the tip.

Just a guess.
Already on several retailer sites for pre-order at:
CC80 - $59.99
CR80 - $79.99
CG80 - $99.99

Re: Loomis 853/854 vs 893/894

894 is where it's at. the 853/854/893 are all underpowered to me. the 873c is sick also. Thank you. What’s the big difference between th 854 and 894. Seeing as they are both 4 powered rods you’d think they’d be similar I will echo that the 894 is much more powerful than the 854. You would expect th...

Thanks for heads up - Shimano USA just posted Curado DC, MSRP $249 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy6fYpK1zhY Someone on youtube posted this from Shimano... Re: Steez SV TW castability compared to Tat SV TW

Many thanks to all that offered insight! Especially hasnoboat!! That is exactly the info that I was looking for, a direct comparison. One day I put them both on the same rod , both were spooled with the same line and I casted the same bait on dry land (sidewalk for ease of measurement. For $300 more...
