Phenix feather 2-piece models?
Anyone fished the 2 piece Phenix Feather spinning/casting rods? Been looking for 2 piece models and saw them on TW. Spinning reel seats are weird looking, but if light and durable I may try one or 2.
Thanks.

Re: Conquest SJR 782/842 rated to 1/2 oz?
I have owned the 842 conquest and still have the 852 NRX and 842 GLX. The conquest is rated for 1/2 oz and is more powerful. I do like the handle on the conquest but actually preferred my GLX over the conquest. The conquest also had several guides that made noise when the rod was fished. They click...

Re: Conquest SJR 782/842 rated to 1/2 oz?
Thanks I never had equated that; but it makes sense.
Too spendy for me I think, but like that rating and heard the Conquest handles are very comfy.
I can't stand my GLX handles so they are going in on an ALF trade-in soon.

Conquest SJR 782/842 rated to 1/2 oz?
Can anyone confirm the above spinning rods are rated to 1/2oz? All other Loomis in that SJR range are 3/8 oz.
Thanks.

If that is true I will not get one.HobeyBaker wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 6:36 amI’ll stick with the Certates. The Luvias didn’t really meet my expectation and this has to be a step down from a Luvias.
Maybe the Vanford is the best value in a light plastic reel.

Re: Daiwa Kage LT MQ
Think Thailand or Malaysia. They do uniquely have the spool shaft bearing like the Exist though. Luvias and Certate do not.
Saw a small review on youtube.
I'm considering ordering a couple.

Daiwa Kage LT MQ
Anyone here by chance handle a Daiwa Kage MQ spinning reel yet?
Looks to me better cosmetically than the Vanford. Basically a Zaion Certate it seems.
Thanks.

Re: Finesse spinning rods.. What's your first choice?
Like Hobey I fish smallmouth. I have and have used a ton in the past 35+ years of doing it and fish finesse (lighter than most) a ton. Impossible to pick one. I’ve got grub rods, 1/32 Ned rods, 1/16 oz Ned rods, 1/16 marabou rods, small tube rod, heavier tube rod on and on. I will say I would like ...
