I have never fished a Vanquish, but I own a Stella. Once you won a Stella, everything else pales in comparison. Its fishing perfection.

I keep everything too. I still have the box to my first "real" baitcaster, Quantum Pro 2C I bought from Bass Pro back in 1992.

Do you need it? lol. Do we need any of this stuff? Buy it. Its a great, versatile rod like all the XX lineup.

Alright so if I'm going to go with the Orochi XX its at the $300 price range. Am I missing better option at this price point or is this pretty close to the best $300 rod. I use an SV103 7.9 on my EMTF. I use a Calcutta Conquest 100HG on my Spinnerbait Special. I would use the SV103 6.3 on the SS.

I use an Orochi XX PP. Awesome rod.

$650 for this rod? Crazy

I dont have any experience with Dobyns, but I do own that MB orochi XX shakey head rod and I love it. Its my go to spinning rod. Very versatile.

One thing that works for me is to not overfill the spool. In fact, I only put 3/4 full.
