Re: Stock Sol Spool vs Ize Factory Spool for 103/103L/Ito-Ai
Those two plastic pieces are moved out by the centrifical force of the rotating spool, therefore pushing out the inductor. If you just pull the inductor out with your fingers there is no rotation to make them move outwards. I think just spinning the spool in the reel is only testing the bearings. Y...

Re: Stock Sol Spool vs Ize Factory Spool for 103/103L/Ito-Ai
One more thing I find different. For Sol/Alphas stock spool, if you pull the inductor rotor out, that two "centrifugal plastic pieces" would come out at the same time touching the spool body. For IZE spool, they wouldnt come out when u pull the inductor rotor. Are yours the same? What's the theory b...

JDM version of Steez spinning reel ?
This may be an old question, but I hven't got an answer yet. What is the JDM version of Steez spinning reel that is avaible in US and Aus market? Someone told me before that the answer is the "Exist Steez Custom", but I doubt that. Though they look very similar, but the "Exist Steez Custom" seems to...

Re: Core 50 - Core 100 - METANIUM MG7
Core 50 = alderbaran
Core 100 = metanium...
I dont know if there is any difference in internals or prefermance, but I love the Core's appearance much more.

Re: Abu Garcia Revo Elite
The current Revo Elite IB should cost you $400 shipped to your door if u look around japanese online stores. The HS should cost you about the same. Don't know whether the info from the official purefishing website is accurate or not, but according to them: Revo Premier weights 6.7oz(189.9g) while Re...

Light braid for baitcast reel?
I used to only use fused braid for heavier stuff. Fused braid is stiffer than true braid and so it is easier to de-birdnest for me, though the casting is not as smooth. But now I am thinking of going true braid for lighter rating, lets say 8 - 10lb. Which is good? Which is not getting birdnest easil...

Re: Airy Red Pixy... Is it worth it?
I was a Daiwa man, but I have to say that pixy is already a 5 years old model. Nothing wrong with it now but later if u need to do any repairing or replacement jobs, its parts maybe difficult to find. This has happened to my other older daiwa reel before. Besides, there was a very nice used airy red...
