rod grip shortening opinions requested...
I have shortened several full cork rod grips, but this current rod presents a unique (to me) challenge. I want to shorten the grip of a split grip spinning rod by the length of the butt cork. I'm contemplating cutting the blank where the butt cork begins, sanding the outside of the blank above the c...

Re: Rigging Grubs
it also gives a clean flow of water to the tail--no hook eye, knot, or hook to create "turbulence" so I think the tail is slightly more free to move. ](*,) You're trying way too hard... Rig it tail up or tail down until the hook tears up that side then rig it the opposite way. Both options catch ba...

Re: NEW RAPALA SHADOW RAP
Does the deep version of the Shadow Rap have as much action as the shallow running version? Has one been a "better" bait than the other?

Re: New Revo's
As Tavery5 indicated, they can be greased, but are sold dry and work very well that way. If you want to improve the drag, polish the metal washers.

Re: Sufix NanoBraid opinions
Thank you, I appreciate your reply. I find it interesting that it isn't made in larger diameters that would be suitable for bait casting gear.

Sufix NanoBraid opinions
Looking for opinions about Sufix NanoBraid by users... not Gliss, NanoFil or other thin diameter PE lines. Thanks

Re: Which braid for ds on spin reel?
I would think bite detection would be your #1 priority in which case NanoFil followed by fused Fireline would be my spinning lines of choice.

Re: VMC Line Tie Split Ring
I've been using the #2 pear-shaped split rings. They do appear a little slight, but I haven't lost any lures yet.

Re: 17lb NanoFil on baitcaster
Is it still working out? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/aquaholik/20160113_170207_zpszuxkxkc6.jpg Quite a little dust on this thread... Eventually I lost faith in Nanofil and went back to Ultra-Cast on bait casting reels and fused Fireline on spinning reels. The line broke more often than m...

Re: Flash Pointer
The regular Pointer 100 is a rip bait, very erratic with a side to side darting action. The Flash Pointer is a little more subtle, it has more of the darting action of the Pointer but the tail kick or wobble is tighter like the Flash Minnow. Basically it is Pointer with a tighter action and less si...
