Re: Dobyns Zayta news on Ultimate Bass
Slightly off topic, but... Does anyone know what models the Zayta line will have? I know it's doubtful, but I really, really hope there will be Zayta swimbait rod & cranks rods. Epecially a deep crank rod- Zayta version of 805cb  The 805cb might be the best deep cb rod ever made, and having a...
Re: a Letter to Pure Fishing
-Fuji SK2 reel seats - love the spinning seats, baitcasting are ok -Fuji ACS reel seats - don't hate them, can live with them -Recoil guides - could take or leave them, don't like them for casting with flouro, but straight drop presentations I have found them to be a real boon with fluoro. You can ...

Re: Got some big ones last year!
Dude that's awesome!!! What a year!
Those fish are truly something to be proud of... But for me- taking your fishing mentor fishing, and what it meant to him is what made me smile the most.
Keep it up bud, the swimbait bite is still on- they're packing it on right now for the winter.

Re: Is the Native Watercraft "Ultimate 12" Fishing Kayak ...
Good review! I've been kayak fishing hard for around 15 years now and owned many fishing yaks. Been planning on getting the ultimate 14 tandem. Only hitch is(and it's a big one), when examing & measuring the boat in person... I can't figure out how I'm going to stow my rods. Anything 7ft & over hang...

For $330 I'd atleast send an email asking about it. That's a steal of a price.Mcyl wrote:Thank you! but I think stock is 0. Pressing buy adds 0 to the cartAquarium wrote:I can contact the store or translate to you. You can use google translator.

Re: How would I shorten the handle on my Nautilus?
Hi Anyone got some ideas on how to shorten this handle and re-use the parts? I was thinking that the only way would be to cut it off, drill the blank material out, and reassemble. I'd need to shorten it by the grips length as a minimum then which is too much. I only want to reduce it by 1.6 inches ...

Re: Need Help Selecting a Big Gun
This is tackletour. I wouldn't feel right letting this thread go on without atleast one attempt to get you over to the darkside. :D A megabass x4 destruction would be sick for those applications. Almost perfect really. Don't be put off by the length. I did a side x side test with the destruction vs ...

Re: Dobyns Zayta news on Ultimate Bass
Hopefully while they're sorting out the resin issue, they'll consider re-doing the graphics/asthetics. If the photos I've seen are the finished product... Not a fan. Red with gold bling? [-( . How about purple with blk outline. Or a nice burgandy with blk outline. Lemon-lime(green-yellow). Or full c...

Re: Dobyns Zayta news on Ultimate Bass
We are developing our own special materials. With these types of high end materials, it takes some time to learn all the do’s and don’ts and the characteristics of the materials. Why would they opt to make their own resin rather than use one of the resins already available on the market? Cost? Thin...

Re: Crankbait Rods Glass vs Graphite
I had problems landing fish with an all graphite cranking rod(powell 704CB and 706CB), and made the switch this last year to glass. I did not loose any fish this past season and it did not cost me an arm and leg SR S-Glass crank rods and Powell 703 MH glass rod. I still use the powell 704CB and 706...

Re: Crankbait Rods Glass vs Graphite
Shallow stuff : I'd go with one of the megabass griffons, steez flex-e-lite medium, or dobyns 704cb; in that order Deep stuff : dobyns 805cb. Hands down. I've looked closely at every deep cranking rod on the market, and there isn't one I would choose over the 805cb for deep cranks. If you like spli...

Re: Gear Ratios?
So I've wanted to ask this question for awhile now. What gear ratio do you use for a certain technique? I have my thought but I wanna know everyone else's haha. So hers the techniques Flip/Pitching. 7:1 or faster Frogging. 7:1 or faster Jerkbait. 7:1 or faster Jigs. 7:1 or faster Square bill 6.2:1-...
