Re: Disappointed Monkey, What Now?
i have never fished with these rods, but there are a lot of good opinnions about Daiko Burroughs BRSS-LTX60 .it has a "normal" grip (those separate grips look uncomfortable IMHO) but it is a one-piece rod as the scylas and others...how could you carry it?IMHO one piece rods are more sensitive and s...

Disappointed Monkey, What Now?
Afternoon all, I have a very sad monkey. Last week I ordered a Daiko Euphoria EU-64F from PLAT and paid on the plastic. This morning I recieved an e-mail from Harada saying that they are not available this year. With my monkey beating me up at the moment, I sent the following list of alternati...

Correct, but I thought I'd throw it in as an example of what an ultra light can do.da house of hardy #1 wrote:skinhead, that megabass is a spinning rod?

Re: Best overall casting outfit size for northern pike up to
My home lake here in England has similarly sized pike, with a number of 10-20lb and a few 20-30lb. I designed a 6', 1.5oz, spiral wrapped casting rod, built on a Harrison blank, for these fish. Coupled to a Curado 201BSF it's an awesome set up. I also have a 6'6", 2.5oz version being stuck together ...

Re: JDM Rods
I need a hand from the experts ,again.... ive been looking for a JDM rod myself, but i want a spinning rod, I plan on using a stradic or sephia 2500 model, im planning on fishing plastics and crankbaits, and ive been partial to longer rods and deffinately one piece, does anyone know of a nice rod t...

Re: I Fouled Up
Had an e-mail from Mr Harada this morning. All sorted out. :big grin: Here in England I don't know of a single shop that can offer service like that, and having been in the wholesale tackle trade for a while, I know a heck of a lot. For some reason, customer service doesn't come into the equation. :...

I surely hope so. I really want to get hold of that rod without my self inflicted delays.

I Fouled Up
I'm truly embarrased. This morning I ordered from PLAT my 2nd JDM rod, a Daiko Euphoria EU-64F. 8-) Whilst filling out the details I managed to combine 2 of my e-mail addresses, wrong name at wrong server. My brain cell wasn't functioning. #-o I e-mailed PLAT within 30 minutes advising of the...

Suitable Reels?
Next week I'll be ordering a Daiko Euphoria from PLAT. :big grin: 8-) I'm going to be looking for a suitable reel for the rod. I already have a Daiwa TD-R 2508 which is sweet, but I was thinking of getting something in the 1000 size, i.e Stradic or Twinpower. I do love double handles and I think the...

Re: imakatsu products
Sharp is an understatement. With that footprint, I reckon they'd make a brilliant chub lure here in England.

Re: Quantum Accurist CX vs Daiwa Procaster
I will say that Shimano seems to have Daiwa beat in the customer service dept. I had a Curado 201BSF that developed a high frequency vibration on the retrieve, but only when under the load of a lure. No lure, no vibration. I returned it to Shimano here in England, as it was only a month old and und...

Re: Major Craft MSS-602UL v Daiko Euphoria EU-65S or EU-64F
Yes you are! Just as I thought. All that remains is to place the order and choose a reel to match. I'm figuring a Shimano Stradic 1000FA, as I love double handles. With my last Stradics I polished the gold highlights back to bright silver. They looked really good. I reckon that this a...

Re: Major Craft MSS-602UL v Daiko Euphoria EU-65S or EU-64F
i'd choose daiko...it looks better...   on the other hand that major craft should be lighter isnt it? :? I must admit, the abbreviated grip of the Daiko really does look sweet and is calling my monkey big time. 8-) ;) Also, the Daiko's, are in PLATS words "One and Half rods". I assu...

Aww, c'mon guys. Do I really have to make an un-informed choice?
I'm looking to place an order with PLAT next week.
