Re: Spinning Reel Daiwa Ballistic LT made in Japan....
Only one I ever saw in a shop (Hot Springs, AR) had the "Made in China" in little white letters on top of the reel seat. I hope if these are made in Japan they come with a true schematic. Someone told me the Tatula LT just had it printed on the box... That is sub KastKing ultimate Busch league if tr...

Re: New Steez TW ALUMINUM for 2017 !
Crazy thought, but you aren't using a lure with magnetic weight transfer system? No, I was using rubbers and a mix of other lures, including magnetics :) I have thrown my Steez A thousands of casts now, all with the Zillion SV TW spool, but haven't felt anything wrong. So far it has even loosened u...

Re: Line recommendations
I use almost all fluoro (2 of 9 braid) for baitcasting, then all braid spinning. I agree with the comment about drag, you can use 100lb braid on a ML if you want, the drag is more important for rod safety. I have used 50lb braid on a casting rod rated for 12-25lb "line" just fine though, and that is...

https://i.postimg.cc/XNKgb7Jp/20181023-193420.jpg My Steez A XH, with 100mm Tatula HD handle, RCS Power knobs, Sunline BMS 10lb, and Zillion SV TW spool. So far really liking it for a power finesse reel. Good Lord. Ive been contemplating the Steez A TW, now that the Zillion SV TW has about ruined m...

Re: Finding a "Light" BFS rod???
Anyone want to take a shot on what would be best for 1/16 plus crappie plastic for bass/crappie/walleye? And maybe the occasional Bitsy Minnow/1/12oz spoon??? With most "1/16oz" heads, you are going to be closer to 1/8 or 3/16oz once you add a plastic. I weighed a bunch of the small heads I use las...

Re: Finding a "Light" BFS rod???
Still hunting right now. At one point, TFO made a nicer rod called the Tactical series, in a 6'3"Light casting version. I have the 6'9"ML for my SV105 but it could be a tad faster, still the 6'3"Light would have fit well enough and be bought locally (US). I am checking Major Craft and a few others, ...

Re: Finding a "Light" BFS rod???
Thanks for all of the answers!!! Have been really pushing some older tackle out and trying some new stuff. Very hard to not just buy a 1000 size spinning reel, but the fact that I cannot find a spinning rod to match my needs either makes it difficult. I still really like the 6'Light TFO rod I bough...

Re: The SS SV 103H on steroids
Beautiful reel from an underappreciated platform. I would like to know if the SV103 drag star works on the SS/SV. Cannot find the Tatula Type R Zaion ones anymore. I also really enjoy the Steez A spool in my SS/SV, has been great for cranks down to 1/4oz and jerkbaits. Another question I had was abo...

Re: High Speed Reels (9:1 Type)
In my experience, the faster the reel, the noisier the gears, even brand new. I think it just has to do with more torque going through a smaller pinion. At ~30% faster than a 6.3, the pinion and spool are flying around by comparison. I haven't had any issues with gear wear in my TWS 9.1 in heavy co...

Re: High Speed Reels (9:1 Type)
I have spoke on this a few times, love Daiwa's to death, but I won't buy anything that fast again. I changed my 9.1 Zillion to a 7.3. The gears held up fine I guess, but just felt lacking in torque for me, even on a reel that big with a 100mm handle. I know it CAN do it, have a few friends who use 9...

Finding a "Light" BFS rod???
Was wondering if anyone has used or knows about any BFS rods that or more geared to 1/16 area. Like perfect for crappie fishing on a decent sized river (1/16 plus Baby Shad style plastic or Strike King Bitsy minnow style lures). I just cannot justify a true BFS UL or even the more extreme XUL's I se...

http://www.purefishing.jp/product/brand/abugarcia/a_reel/sp/revo/revo_rocket.html Here is the link I found to the JDM Revo Rocket site. From first look, all I can tell different is colors, maybe a few other cosmetics (handle, knob, etc.). Also the spool sizes and options are normally different with ...

The smaller River2Sea Rover has been good for me, but I don't remember exactly how it sounds (rattles).
