What do i "need"

I am looking to have a more well rounded / improved bait caster line up. I mainly fish as a non boater, and bring 4 spinning rods and 4 (or less) bait casting rods (Northeast not NY). I am leaning toward adding a MB Destroyer Javelin and either an MB xxx Rattleviper or xxx Oneten. Should I add eithe...

Daiwa Aegis - Drag not clicking

Over the winter I picked up a Daiwa Aegis (TW sale price sucked me in). I have been out with it two or three times and the drag does not (and has never) clicked. The drag works. I have set the hook and it does not slip. I have hooked anything big, but I did hook a medium sized pickerel (not the targ...

Alphas SV vs Curado 70

I am trying to pick between these two reels. I have no experience with either. I have an SV reel and think it is great. I also have a curado 201e that is also a solid reel. Head to head which one is better in the following categories: Casting 1. Distance 2. Skipping 3. light baits Drag 1. which one ...

Re: Upgrade from Invisx - Sunlike or Tatsu

Thanks - it sounds like Tatsu is what I am looking for. I know how Invisx performs and it sounds like the Tatsu will just be overall better i.e. same or better manageability with more strength / less stretch. On a 2000 size reel, less manageability is not ideal. Thanks in advance - when you start to...

Upgrade from Invisx - Sunlike or Tatsu

I am looking to upgrade my spinning rod flouro line for next season. I have used invisx 6# for a couple of seasons and like it. I used to have 4 reels spooled with 6# invisx now i am running two braid and two flouro, I lost a number of fish on the 6# flouro to moderate cover (i know use light line a...

Which one SV 105 - Zillion SV TW - Curado 70

I am looking for a BC reel for 8-12# flouro (10# most of the time) to throw mostly jerk baits and sometimes smaller medium cranks (biggest would be a DT 10- lightest would be SK series 3). I have a zillion sv tw and it is a really great reel (IMO). But i would not mine saving a little money and gett...

Re: The new new Zillion

Does anyone know the release date for USDM and / or JDM? Or will it be released at the same time?

Re: The new new Zillion

I just watched the project T episodes 3 and 4 - I think I am off the fence (metanium v ss sv v zillion sv tw). The two questions now are when is this going to be available, and how much is it going to cost me? I may also want an ss sv anyway :big grin: . I think it would be sweet on my jerk bait / t...

Re: The new new Zillion

I have a couple Tatula R's and like them, which is why i am looking at other Daiwa reels. My thoughts on the Zillion TWS are based on the main site's reviews (and comparison with chronarch ci4), which sounded right to me when I read them. What you think will be interesting to see - "The new SV versi...

Re: The new new Zillion

I am a bit lost with all of the Daiwa models and have a couple of questions that I think you guys can can help me figure out. Aside from the spool and size is this new Zillion any different from the Zillion TW that is already out there (which is basically a type r tatula which is basically a tatula)...

Re: Shimano Expride casting 6'6" M

I would say, in addition to jerkbaits, medium depth cranks like sk3 dt6 or dt10, and topwaters (wit mono or braid - not flouro )

Re: Maybe the ONE

Ugh. I was between 68mh le and nrx 804. I went with the nrx and am second guessing the decision before I have even fished the nrx. Only time on the water will tell.

Re: Steez xt vs legend elite

I went with the nrx 804-the sale prices made the nrx an easier choice. Now what reel do I want for it? Tatula R or an alphas?

Re: Steez xt vs legend elite

A rep sample nrx would be a good option, but I haven't seen one in a long time. A little help?
