Re: Who Got their Curado I?

I picked one up and have fished it on two trips so far. I'm even more impressed with it after actually fishing with it. Casting is fantastic. I'd say it easily out performs my Chronarch 200E. It also feels smoother and has less handle back play than the Chronarch. I'm definitely considering getting ...

Re: Expride Anyone?

Hard to say. They do feel really crisp (I'd say more so than the 2nd gen Cumaras) and have a great action to them. I can't comment on the sensitivity though since I haven't fished with one. Wish I had some on the water experience with them so that I could be more helpful. I definitely want to get my...

Re: Help choosing Crankbait / Topwater Rod 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz

Haven't actually tried this model, but the Phenix X9 would probably be great for what you plan to do. My brother has an X12 that I have tried, and it is the best cranking rod I've ever used. I just bought an X10 in the classifieds for myself. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Phenix_X-Series_Composite_...

Re: Expride Anyone?

I handled a couple of different models at the Classic expo (honestly can't even remember what models) and I was very impressed with them. To be perfectly honest, I actually wasn't any more impressed with the Poison Adrena rods that I was with the Exprides. I'll probably have to pick one up sometime ...

Re: NRX Umbrella Rig rod

I got mine right before going to Okeechobee for a week this past Christmas, and I was able to use it for flipping/punching with 1/2oz to 1 1/2oz weights, frogs, and Keitech 5.8" Fat Swing Impacts. I'm not very experienced with any of these techniques, but it seemed to do a fantastic job with all of ...

JDM Fenwick rods?

I remember seeing these a year or two ago, and wondering if they are really worth that kind of price. http://www.tiemco.co.jp/products/groups/view/5 With a list price higher than pretty much any bass fishing rod series I'm familiar with, I figured someone on here would have tried one by now. Anyone ...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.

I am in for a new Spinning rod and looking at the 6'6"L Adrena for my Twin Power C2000S right now. Anyone have pictures on what they look like? The other rod i was eyeing is the Poison Glorious 2610L-S, do you think the Glorious is a better buy than the Adrena for the solid tip? The picture on this...

Same here. I had a feeling TW wouldn't stock the BFS rods.

Re: What is your finesse casting rod?

There are so many fine rods listed here! I really like the Megabass X7 Shading-X and Super Eiger. I have my eye on the new Megabass Destroyer Evoluzion Themis too! http://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1066_602_1194_1195&products_id=5018 I checked out the Super Eiger at the C...

Re: NRX vs Cumara

I own and regularly use two Cumulus rods, and I have used several older Cumaras and a few of the new ones, but I have only held the comparable NRX models in stores. My brother (who owns the Cumaras I've used) and I both agree that the models of the new Cumaras we have used are more crisp and sensiti...

A rep at the expo told me that they will most likely be available from some retailers within the next couple of weeks. Didn't ask about warranty though.

Re: Who Got their Curado I?

I also handled them at the Classic expo. Feels pretty much like an aluminum Chronarch Ci4+, which means it feels awesome. I've been planning to pick up a clearance Curado G, but the new one has just about made me change my mind.

Re: Mid priced spinning reels - daiwa vs shimano

Having owned and used several Daiwa spinning reels from the cheap stuff up to the Certate, and many Shimanos in pretty much every price range including a Stella FE, I personally prefer Shimano for spinning reels at pretty much any price. Daiwa reels do have the more effortless feeling handle turn, b...

Re: Spring Favorites

I mainly use lipless cranks (Xcalibur XR50 is a good starting point), paddletail swimbaits either weightless or on lightly weighted hooks (Keitech Swing Impact Fat in 4.8" and 5.8"), shakey heads with various plastics (Roboworm, Damiki Air Craw, etc.), and, as of last year, a double fluke rig (Keite...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.

I've been really hoping that this would happen, but I really wanted the Poison Glorious line to come over here the most. I'm still really looking forward to getting my hands on both of these series though. I'm getting really excited about going to the Classic Expo. I already contacted Phenix and con...
