Try Chrome or a different browser. For some reason when I host pictures from Dropbox here using Safari, the pictures don't show up. Use Chrome or Puffin, and they show perfectly.

Re: Shimano curado i

How cheap?

I only ask as the new K can be had for around the 160 dollar mark from Tackle Trap. I've owned both and the K is by far a better design. The I was by all means a good reel, but the K is a much much better design.

Re: I don't understand Enigma Rods

Got to borrow a 7’ MH and all I have to say is I simply cannot believe he likes these more than the XX rods. It was so heavy and balanced horribly!! Are these really what he’s using?? Not sure what generation it was, but it was one of the light grey ones. I see the new ones are a darker color. Hope...

Re: Curado K Levelwind Bearing

That's what I was expecting but I wanted to make sure. I'm guessing you've already done a few of these Rock. I haven't taken the knobs off any of my K's yet. Is the factory configuration 1 bearing and 1 bushing on the knobs? Yes sir. I've done quite a few here locally. The 200k is a pretty big hit ...

Re: megabass hein vs 852C JWR

I have the GLX 852 JWR (2016) with a Metanium MG7 V2 for finesse. Yumeya 32mm spool with 7# FC Sniper. It’s my go to finesse. I’ve tuned it and tossed in ZPI bearings and a brass main gear. Makes for a very powerful finesse rod. Lightest I can go while still getting great distance is the small TRD Z...

Thank you everybody for all the info. Very much!

ZPI PG Gold spool is on its way from the Trap, along with a Set of ZPI bearings for my SV103 and a Zaion Drag Star to lighten it up some. Thanks Jackson!

Re: Bait Monkey is F***ing Me Over!!! HELP ME!

Here is my suggestion. Buy the GLX843 MBR from the Trap for 360. Take it and fish it for a week. Then decide If you want the 803 NRX. The 843 has a 15” handle. With the extra length in the handle, it fishes like a 6’10 or a 6’9” rod. Me personally, I prefer the new GLX rods over the NRX series. I’ve...

Re: Spiral wrapped guides and fluoro

Did you to take off the exact bait and the exact reel when they are causing the problem and put it on a non-spiral rod to control for those variables? You may just have a bait that isn't running true. Are the guides on each rod the same diameter? I find that the smaller 4mm micro guides amplify the...

Re: Spiral wrapped guides and fluoro

I have never used a spiral wrapped rod, but I have found a way to cut down on problems with coiling fluoro. I tie my fluoro off to my truck and walk out a long cast+. I engage the reel, and pull the line until it feels like it's not stretching any more, and then rewind it as I walk back to my truck...

Spiral wrapped guides and fluoro

I have 3 customs building off PB Blanks with Torzite spiral wrapped guides. When I had these built, I was using braid only. No issues with them at all. Now that I am using more fluoro, I am finding I have more issues controlling the spool. I use only FC Sniper in 12# or lighter. It's almost like the...
