Re: curado I vs curado e

Don't get me wrong, I think the I is a fantastic reel. From what I'm seeing here I should give it a little more time and effort to figure out the breaking system. I got the reel in the spring but really haven't used it enough to give it a fair shot. Time to spool it up and hit the water I suppose!

Re: 6th Sense Hardbaits

I've only used their squarebills, none of their other baits. But I really liked the squarebill. Pretty durable, good action, and the fish ate it up.

Re: cranking and jerking with braid

Well last night I took a spare spool and filled it with some 20 lb braid with a 12 lb fluorocarbon leader. I headed down to a local river after work today and threw a jerkbait around and I think I might like it more than straight fluorocarbon. It gave the bait great responsiveness and with a soft ro...

curado I vs curado e

Is it just me or does the curado I not cast lighter, more wind resistant lures as well as the curado e? Don't get me wrong they can both sling anything 3/8 and up a good ways. But when it comes to lighter baits or casting into the wind it seems much more effortless for the e. Maybe I just have to pl...

cranking and jerking with braid

Just curious if anyone has or does crank and/or throw a jerkbait with braid. I've been thinking about it, mainly for shallow to mid depth cranks. Interested to hear any thoughts on this.

Re: Interested in new revo

I understand a shallow spool on a finesse reel, but that just looks crazy shallow to me

Re: Quantum Smoke Spinning Rod

I don't usually resell my stuff either. I've been looking at the elite tech for a while, I'm just not sure about the reel seat. I like an exposed and I don't know how it'll feel. I hear their very sensitive and light though

Quantum Smoke Spinning Rod

Anyone have one of these? I'm thinking about getting the 6'9 med/xfast, but I'd like to know a little more about how sensitive they are and how they are weight wise. They aren't around locally so I can't feel them out before I buy.

Anyone use these at all? I'm considering getting fred's frog rod. Just wondering how they fish before I decide. Any input would be great

Powell Max 734 Question

I'm wondering how the max 734 balances with a curado 200e. I'm planning on getting one and just want to make sure it isn't tip heavy, I don't have a local dealer that sells them so I can't feel them out. Thanks

Re: spinnerbaits

I throw spinnerbaits on 30-40lb braid with a 6-7 foot leader of 15lb fluoro. You could use that same line setup for flipping and pitching moderate cover if you wanted
