Re: Happy
I'm as close as I have ever been. Sold off a lot of stuff, added a few things. I think I just need one more combo.

Re: Righty Spinning AND Lefty Casting?
I found easier for me to cast with my left than use left handle casting reels. I cast about 60% of the time left handle. The straight handles on most rods make to easy to cast with either hand since you're using both hands on the rod. Spinning reels just seem nature to reel with left hand, no proble...

That feeling you get when you pull that mint reel out of the box and find 2 pin holes in it. Are there reel rats in my cabinet?

Re: Where do you put your Fuji EZ Keeper
Put my in front of reel on the bottom. Before I put them on I use electrical tape all-round the blank so I don't nick the blank with a hook.

Re: What rod handle material do you prefer?
I prefer full cork on casting rods, don't mine the split cork on spinning rods. That said it doesn't stop me from buying a rod if everything else is what I want.

Re: Rods you bought for one technique that you weren't thrilled with initially ...
MB X4 Destruction. I bought it for punching mats. When I received it and put a reel on it, I was so un-impressed, I almost sold it. One day I tied on a 1/2 oz chatterbait. After hooking my first bass over 4 lbs that morning, I realized how well it works for moving baits. The softer action keeps the...

Re: 12# sniper?
The two keys to fluorocarbon are to be very gentle when you pull out backlashes, and to really wet your knots. You are probably at the threshold of the breaking strength of 12 lb. Sniper with the equipment that you are using after it has been kinked. Use a lighter rod, lighter drag setting, or go u...

Re: EVA handles ... yea or nay ?
I prefer full cork, but tend look more at function of the rod than the handle material.
