I really like the 7’6” spinning rods and the AGS mml is my favorite.

Re: Zona and Lews

Let's face it guys we don't follow the herd and which pros uses what don't matter. I Godson told one of his friends that I had as good as equipment has the pros. I just laughed and thought I wish I could fish like them.

Wouldn't go glass. I would go with a longer heavy medium fast graphite.

I have picked a few Daiwas from the site ichibantackle.com They also have some JDM used hardbaits. Sometime some interesting stuff shows up.

Re: Season of Giving

I'm not big on Christmas as I work retail - you get a real itch to get past this time of year as quickly as possible. But I bought myself a boat for the creeks and Broadwater here, been 12 years since my first tub. Decking it all out with the Railblaza trappings and just bought myself a (June build...

Re: Swimbait reel

Hi Sirs, I'm in the same way looking for a good palmeable swimbait reel; My options are Shimano Antares DC MD and Daiwa Z2020 , Daiwa likes the drag sound but its too much heavy , Antares DC its ligther and even more palmeable. The rod is a Gran Cobra until 4oz and its a very light rod so I woulnd'...

Re: Megabass Black Jungle Power Versatile

I just got my PV and found it balances well with a zillion or Z200. I'm using my for swimbaits and larger topwater with the Z200. If I were to use it for bottom contact, I think I would use some variance of the zillion. I still have my PV and still one of my favorite rods. Replaced the Z200 with an...

Re: Tell me about older Diawa Alphas, TD and other reels

I am not a fan of any of the newer Daiwa reels. For the money you can’t beat the OGs. If you want to cover a wide variety of apps get yourself one from each family: 1. Pixy for BFS use with light weights 2. Alphas variant for mag finesse 3. Steez for bottom contact 4. TDZ for all around use 5. Zill...

I recently sold off a few high end reels that I just loved, but would never use them for whatever reason. However, I have always wanted to get a newer Conquest, so I figured I got the extra coin now, so why not. Its a viscous cycle.
I’m in the exact same place! :laugh1:
