check the reel seet on the rod for any cracked parts. maybee you dont realize it but its actually allowing it to come loose, resulting in the reel coming off.

i use rocket fuel it does make a difference. but i just started using friction zero. and let me tell you it is sweet. but only down fall you have to apply it more often then rocket fuel.

so skeet did your friend get that reel in yet.

reel doc, is on vacation he wont be replying to anything. i would check the bearings, flush them out and re-oil them. if that dont work, i would ask chucke
